ART: OdinVanguard IDEA: OdinVanguard NOTES: "Today the world will seem just out of reach" "Don't be afraid to embrace the power of lateral thought today." Another Cardinal hybrid group capstone card. Again, quanta production is emphasized due to the lack of this ability amongst the cardinal elements. The quanta production mechanic works just like the cardinal pillars (currently in cygnia). E.g. if you discard a 2 quanta cost card, this would produce quanta just like playing a cardinal tower would (and then you would draw 2 cards). This card is meant to synergize with Construction Droids and Archive Drones. Together they should provide significant draw power and quanta generation for cardinal decks. There is also some obvious synergy with SoSe, since this can get rid of unwanted cards in favor of draw power and quanta generation. Mindgate is another option as well since the cards produced can be discarded to draw new cards from your deck and gain quanta to power them. Fractal could also be useful here since you could potentially use this to create and play creatures on the same turn (if you get lucky with the quanta production). It can also work well with hourglasses or precognition in a pinch (e.g. you draw a dragon but either don't have the quanta to play it or could better use the quanta elsewhere). Finally, gravity can benefit from this card as well by virtue of the fact that many gravity cards are very expensive, which means they will produce a lot of quanta when discarded. So if I discard lets say an Astral Golem, will I get 4x5 quanta, or only 5 quanta randomly selected from the cardinal elements?

You get 5 quanta randomly selected from cardinal elements.

That would be the current meaning of "produce 5 " as per the wording on the cardinal pillars / towers currently in cygnia.
