Congrats for winning the event rem4life !
Since he does not need to go back to home base, it means we are all too far to reach him before he gets into the middle.

I think this situation was deliberately avoided in the original rules that required at least 1 shard to be at home and no duplicates allowed -- which would always give other players time to intercept. But with the duplications allowed and no need to go home, the interception is no longer possible.
So if the event is repeated in the future, I would suggest this to be tweaked, either by not allowing duplicates OR by requiring a trip home to pickup all shards even if the player has duplicates in hand.

I remember we discussed this issue with Submachine last time before collecting the last shard needed. Checked old and new rule sets and Sub ruled it as no need to return to base.
I can still go back to base, if anyone feels it to be unfair

I don't feel the need to tweak any rules now or prolong this event, since we had our chance once (both me and Beef) and you defeated both of us.
It so happened that the first time we were in a closer situation to reach you, if that were not the case and this would be the first time you got the full set, then I would feel it unfair not having any chance to challenge you.

My post above was referring to any future re-run of the event for this reason, i.e. to avoid a no challenge possible situation -- which was not the case here by chance of the player positions.

One last thing before we finish. rem4life was attacked by a Shard Spirit, so he may duel with it, and if he wins that (or the loss doesn't change anything drastically) I declare rem the winner of this event. Zso and rem, are you BOTH okay with this?

It is said that the Grand Shard Golem sleeps in the tower in the center of The Land of Elements. Legends declare that whoever awoke the Golem would be granted unlimited power to rule the world...

Rem4life approached the central tower with haste. When he reached the tower's East Gate, his heart stopped beating for a second. He had all 11 shards in his possession and he knew that something big will happen, but he didn't know for sure. He took a big breatch and entered the Gate.
Inside the tower was a huge spacious room lit with torches on the wall, and in the center stood the motionless figure Grand Shard Golem. It was enormous and majestic, as big as an Ancient Massive Dragon. When rem4life stepped closer, the shards in his lootpack started glowing and vibrating, and eventually they were all pulled to the statue's chest, where they integrated themselves into one, big Shard Heart.

This was the time: The Golem was alive.
