Leagues 3/2014 dropped

So Leagues started really late. I was originally going to cut the down time on Leagues to about 2 weeks so that I could finally get Leagues back on schedule. It was going great! Unfortunately, server apparently decided "No. The players don't get to play games, and burds don't get free seeds. Or work." So... yeah. Problem.

At this point in time, there are two (2) choices: try to fit in a (much) shortened League season or drop Leagues 3/2014. As much as I'd like to fit in a shorter League season, at this point it would only run like a month anyway (if the server immediately started working again) and it just feels wrong to be giving prizes for such a short period of time. Therefore, Leagues 3/2014 is getting dropped.

Sorry guys, girls, dragons, robots, cheese, and all sorts of other nouns. And DM. All hail DM.

On a brighter note, Leagues 1/2015 is going to be early! Yay!

I think we can do the next 2 leagues with only two months each.

By early you mean that they actually will start at 2014? Or I just dont know how this system works  But anyway this is a pity...

I believe what burd is saying is instead of three leagues this year there are going to be 2 and when we finally finish the current league there will be a month or two till the next 3 month one, therefore by the time league 2/2014 starts we will be atm august with three months till finishing time therefore it will be November nearly December so makes no sense to start a third one which means 1/2015 will be due. Even with a 1 month gap it will still be getting late to start a third only way it is possible to have three is to start the second one immediately after the first and that will not happen.

Why can't we eliminate/reduce the gaps between the League periods?  Depending on when the server comes back, we would need a month to finish this one, and three months for each of the other two.  If we made it two weeks between leagues, or even three weeks between with one week cut off each of the two later leagues, it seems like one week shorter wouldn't damage the competitive integrity of the league

 Yes, I suggested to reduce not only because of this delay, but really I think 3 months is a lot.
 Once I called the Glennfoo to join in league and he told me he thought it be cool but too long to finish,  two months is possible to play a lot of matches.

I'm more or less simply saying that 1/2015 will almost certainly start early.
