A lot of people will disagree with me on this statement, but RoL/Hope is a crappy deck for most FGs, and that's why you're having trouble. I don't know if it will help, but here's what I did when I started:
1) Screw around as a noob in AI2 for 2-3 learning the game.
2) Tackle AI3 and in another day or two was beating it pretty good.
3) Decided that higher AIs were too hard for unupped decks, so I sold my entire collection except for a monolife deck and upgraded as many cards in it as I could, and spent about a week grinding AI3 for more cash. This was very boring, but a game could be won in about 2 minutes.
4) Built scaredgirl's 'almost unupgraded rainbow FG killer' deck (available on forums) and started taking on FGs and halfbloods.
5) Further upgraded that deck as I earned money and sold upgraded cards I won that I didn't want
6) Decided that I could do way better than scaredgirl's rainbow, and heavily modified it to be much better, then took on FGs to upgrade the rest of that deck.
7) Once I fully upgraded that deck, kept playing against FGs, and now no longer sell any upgraded cards unless I have more than 6 of it, as I work towards getting a full collection. A lot of my cash now goes to either upgrading towers/pendulums (which are extremely hard to win from spins) or cards that none of the FGs have.
To get from scratch to a good FG rainbow deck took somewhere around 6 weeks for me, and I was unemployed at the time, so if you've managed to get a near fully upgraded RoL/Hope deck in a week, you're doing very well, even if you sadly bought one of the shittiest, most overrated FG grinders on the forums :p
Posting a deck in the arena will get a bit of free cash, but it's not much. For example, my arena deck is 20-5 after two and a half days in platinum, so that's 200 electrum it made, or 80 per day. It doesn't hurt to keep something up there all the time, but it will never be a high source of income; it's more about bragging rights.
I'd work on saving up for some sort of all-purpose rainbow deck if I were you. Another thing you could do is take your rol/hope deck against halfbloods; it should have a pretty good win % there.
