Greetings to the Elements Community! I am a somewhat regular player, playing on and off every now and then.

I have a few questions, feel free to answer any at your leisure:
- How rare are nymphs from the oracle?
- What are tournaments like? What makes it interesting for you
- Are there other fun things to do other than tourneys?
- Do you farm false gods or arena more, or neither? I currently spam arenas because they give fast gold + weapons & shards (weapons seem rarer than shards)
- What do you think of openetg vs 1.4 vs current v.?

Nymphs are one of the rarest cards in the game. You can only get them from the oracle or winning tournaments.

Tournaments are fun. As long as there are at least 8 people, the tournaments are single elimination, but still take a bit to play. If you win the whole tournament it might take you a couple hours of your time. There is 1 tournament every week, and you can look at the tournament section on the forums to find the dates and times. I like tournaments because a.) you can win a mark/nymph code to get a super rare card if you get 1st place and b.) every week there is a different ruleset that restricts what cards you can use in the tournament. This keeps the meta fresh and makes the tournaments less up to chance. If every single card was allowed, every tournament would just be a roll of the dice, because there is no deck in this game that can beat every other deck. There isn't even a deck that comes close to losing to only one other deck. Everything has counters.

There's a lot of fun things to do. Look at the different forum sections. There are card art competitions, card idea competitions, PvP Events that have their own ruleset and often last several weeks as opposed to a 1 day tournament. There are forum games (mafia is about to start up soon under the forum games subsection). People are also often in chat. There is also league, which lasts about 3 months and lets you play as much or as little as you want with other people to climb up an ELO ladder system. The top players in that ladder get rewards at the end too.

False gods are not worth farming. Farm arena.

Open ETG is good but needs some visual work. Players might move there when flash support cuts off. 1.4 is never coming out because the developer disappeared like 7 years ago. Current version is fine and meta gets switched up through using specific rules. The only truly OP card in the game is dusk mantle.

- I currently have 4 nymphs - from the oracle. Is that rare?
Yes, they are quite rare. On average you'll get a Nymph every 1-2 months, or so - except if you are a lucky bastard (looking at MasterWalks),
or you can be very unlucky and have none for months (let's shed a tear for poor immortal feud). After ~467 rolls I have 12 Nymphs.
- What are tournaments like? What makes it interesting for you
Weekly events with different ruleset for every week. The winner gets a code, which can be used to get a Nymph or a Mark in the game. Since you
can get Nymphs from the Oracle, most players choose Marks.
- Are there other fun things to do other than tourneys?
Absolutely. There are smaller events like 12 Lives, 3-man PvP, There Can Be Only One and others, and major events like
the yearly Trials and War. Check them in the according forum sub-section. War is running now, only two teams - Time and Darkness - left.
- Do you farm false gods or arena more, or neither? I currently spam arenas because they give fast gold + weapons & shards (weapons seem rarer than shards)
Arena. Bronze Arena for electrum and Platinum Arena for fun (those decks are considerably stronger than avg decks due to the increased
hp, mark and draw bonus. It is very satisfying to beat a strong plat deck.
- What do you think of openetg vs 1.4 vs current v.?
OpenETG is very good for testing, otherwise my eyes just don't like the layout/design.

Average is one nymph per month if you spin daily. Purple Nymph is twice as likely as any other nymph to show up.

I like that tournaments are easy to get into. It requires a low commitment of time and you can jump right into it with very little experience and you will be competitive in no time.

War certainly is the biggest PvP event. It only takes place once a year but is also connected with Trials. Leagues, for instance, are year-round but don't challenge your deckbuilding skills as much as most other events. There are also smaller PvP events happening a couple of times per year with a limited set of players. If you're not only into PvP there's plenty of other stuff going on such as competitions, Brawl or forum games.

If you're farming towards a specific goal arena is the fastest way to do so. However, I enjoyed playing quite a few FGs when I was newer to the game.

Most people will stick to the current version for the time being. There is a lot of talk about how to get on with it in a couple of months, though. openEtG seems like the likely succesor atm.

Nymphs are hella rare, but you can eventually get more trough rolling daily or winning tourneys.

Tourneys are fun. the challenge in thinking of new types of decks outside of my original beliefs makes tourneys pretty interesting exercises.

Outside of tourney, there's just chilling in chat, some pvp and non-pvp events.

I used to farm false gods for a majority of my beginning, then farming arena for specific rares.

I playe oetg, feels pretty fast and smooth, though i'm much more visual and sometimes the images come up late, so that slows me down. 1.4 seems like a pipe dream at this point, so current patch is the best we have.
