Elements non-newbie but new to the community https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=48467.msg1059572#msg1059572

Hello! I decided to go look at the elements community after about 3-4 months of playing the game. Im not really completive at achieving mass quantities of fame or upgraded cards, because i mainly focus on making a wide variety of decks. I enjoy testing out all of the different strategies i can use, and then grade my decks to see what level they are best suited at to use.

I found elements on Kongregate by looking at the top card games. I was interested in card games because i used to be interested in Yu-Gi-Oh. Emphasis on "used to." Elements has completely ruined the experience of yugioh, and most other online card games by obviously and excruciatingly showing their flaws in comparison to elements.

Primarily i joined the community so that i could post the decks i made, how to use them, their costs, pros/cons, and what they were good at.

I am on a goal to make individualized anti-god decks. A specialized one that wins most of the time with the god it corresponds to.

This is a post from nanoman999 (community and many other things one) and my other game name dexteros (thats the elements in game username as well as ROTMG)
My grading system on decks is as follows:
I grade the decks out of five matches per level. This is a small amount of trials, so rough results.
Level for AI it is best suited against. Typically A+ in every level below it as well.
Letter for wins out of 5 it gets. A+=5/5 A=4/5 B=3/5 C=2/5 D=1/5 F=0/5

There's no catapult turtling your monsters into a castle of dark illusions crushing monsters held in place with swords of revealing light here.

Dim shield isn't going down that easily.

Anyway welcome. I do encourage you to go after some upped cards. Upped decks are very different and personally I enjoy making them much more. Combos that were previously much too slow suddenly become pull-offable.

If you ever start participating in upped pvp and looking for some deck help, let me know!
My default opinion of a new card is OP. Your job as a card creator will have to be to convince me otherwise.
Happy to help with questions regarding upped PvP
Thanks for voting Blarp as your Favorite PvP Deck of 2012!

Shows how much you know. :P

The Castle Of Dark Illusions has always been one of the weakest cards. In fact the zombie cards made that early on were all really weak.

Well it went great on the manga (and the anime as it seems, i honestly like YGO better in manga because OMG crazy interaction!)

Hello and welcome. I used to play YGO too, running Wind beatdown at first an Six Samurai later. I stopped around the time Gladiator Beast was out, though.
Hope you'll enjoy your stay.

To Chapuz,

Thanks for the link! This gives me a good basis to build my decks on. another site which i have been using which i find also helps is http://elementsthegame.wikia.com/wiki/False_Gods . and oooh, weekly tournaments sounds nice. :D especially if they are themed.

I really appreciate the responses, and if i need help, i will ask you. :)
