Hello all! Lurker finally stopping in. https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=55074.msg1146761#msg1146761

Hey everyone,

"New" player here introducing myself...name's TJ.  I've been playing for about a month and a half and lurking the forums...figured it was time to stop in.  I discovered Elements through my now ex-girlfriend who showed me game while we were together, and I picked it up VERY quickly and easily because I used to play Magic the Gathering at a tournament level.

I suppose I'll share a bit about myself;  I'm a Computer and Network Tech at a major library district (4 buildings) on Long Island,  I'm heavy into music, and I've been playing guitar for a little over a decade...I'll listen to most genres except Country, but really prefer hardcore, metal, and a lot of their sub-genres.

I am also an active photographer, graphic designer, artist, I love getting tattooed, I'm a huge movie enthusiast, and I love craft beer, building my own computers, and working on cars...both performance, as well as detailing, though I can't do as much myself as I used to; an accident a few years back has led to several spinal surgeries and left me in chronic pain.  Currently driving a 2007 Subaru STi, which I hope to start a bit of work on shortly.  I also enjoy lending my father a hand with his project...restoring his '72 Chevlle SS.  Open headers on a fully worked SS motor...for all the car guys out there, you know how lovely this sounds  :D  I'm not much of a sports guy, although I used to train extensively in kickboxing & Muay Thai, Brazillian jiu-jitsu (my favorite thing I've ever done...fell absolutely in love with it.), and eventually MMA until said injuries forced me to hang up the gi and gloves.

I used to be a huge gamer...PC only, consoles only used for Final Fantasy's...Half Life, Team Fortress Classic, Unreal, Diablo 2..got into a MMORPG called Dark Age of Camelot that took up WAY too much of my life...got back into shooters with Team Fortress 2 and started Call of Duty (MW3, Black Ops 2, now Ghosts) which I'm kind of burnt out on, played Diablo 3 into the ground, and the same with Titanfall.  Elements, as simple as it is, has really taken over.

Anyway, I'm having a ton of fun with Elements so far...have quite a few decks, and I love experimenting with new ideas.  I find that for the length time I play, grinding A4 gives me more electrum and upgraded cards than the False Gods.  I use my own version of Limitless Speed for FGs...but for A4, I created a lovely Firefly deck that has a win ratio of around 75-80%, and a mastery of those wins at about 40%.  Also quite good for Bronze farming.  I tend to change decks quite often, as it can get boring playing the same moves for 40 games in a row, so I like to keep it fresh and create something new every once in a while.

That's all for now.  I enjoy chatting, so feel free to ask me anything.

Back to the A4 and FG grind,

-TJ

Whoa...this seems like some serious business.  I'd like to know why I'd be picking the choice.  If this is a simple order of preference of food, then I clearly win.  I wouldn't pick bacon.  I feel like the entire internet is against me, but I'm just not the biggest fan.  I like it sometimes, but I wouldn't fight someone to the death over bacon.

My choice would obviously be noodle(s), considering they're carbs, specifically starch, which keeps your stomach nice and full.  Donuts are a close second, but if we're going to get into nutrition..well...donuts just can't be correct.  Eating the same weight in noodles vs. donuts...one is just nice and filling and delicious, and the other, although nice for a quick breakfast, is a good part air,  is going to cause that sugar drop...and I just can't handle it.

Welcome to the forums! Stick around and fuel your addiction, please! Also, once you've got a good enough cardbase, you should try your skills in PvP Tournements, held every saturday. Would be awesome to have more people on the PvP scene.

Oh I know...I've read these newbie threads.  Just figured I'd give a good reason behind said choice.  No one else seemed to.  And I figured that nutrition bit would just be a little extra for everyone ;)
