I've been playing Elements for a little while now.
I found it on Kongregate.com (http://www.kongregate.com/games/zanzarino/elements?acomplete=elements)

The game is quite enjoyable, and I've always wanted to try out in the Tournaments.

I've only made a couple decks so far; the two below just happen to be my favorite.
If you have any tips or strategies that could help improve one's deck building and situation abilities, I would gladly appreciate it.

Welcome, to the forums, Kimaru!  In your first deck, fractal costs a lot, and you won't get enough aether quanta.  I would add in some more aether pillars.

And for the first, I'd drop all the Obsidian Pillars for maybe 4 or so Dark Pendulums.  Also, I'd drop Nightmare, Dusk Mantle, and Nightfall for Dimensional Shields.  And maybe some more Steals...

Hello. Welcome to the forums. I am glad that you enjoy this game. There is a mentor program if you need help in using the forums or the game itself. Well, for your first deck, I think there's a quanta issue. First, I would do - 3 drain life, -1 nightmare,-1 devourer, -1 darkness pillar,+1 steal(Always have a pair of steals ).+2 minor vamps,+2 aether pillar and 1 Dark Pendulum. Hope it helps.
For the second deck, U got too much going. That could be a problem. Since I think you would want the scorps, I think you should take out the shields and mitosis and add adrenaline. If one scorp has adrenaline then it's 2 poison counters and 4 dmg per scorp with adrenaline. Empathy Bonds are not necessary if you take out the mitosis. Your Heals would give you the healing you need.

My Devourer deck runs on the massive amount of Darkness Quanta due to Drain Life's effect.
I've once gathered up to nearly 200 Darkness Quanta; using one Drain Life practically healed me to full health as well as dealing almost 40 damage. Just in case they run a shield that reflects spells I normally save one Fractal and my Black Dragon to deal lots of damage quickly.
As for the low Aether Pillars, I only run two in the deck because I generate one per turn due to my Aether Mark. Fractal uses 10 Aether Quanta but it also consumes any remaining Quanta as well, so I didn't want to run too many Pillars if they weren't really needed. That all said, I'll try out some of your recommendations and see if it runs better!

As for the Scorpions I was ready to change it up, I didn't know if Adrenaline would make the poison stack more than only once or not.
I'll have to try it out and see if it improves the deck.
