OH MY GOSH! I went away and it logged me out and I tried to post and all that stuff I typed got destroyed because it logged me out! Oh well... I shall try to repeat my post in it's former brilliance, but it just wont be the same...

Hi, I'm PoLkaTulK, but you may call me Polka (you don't get to know my real name). I just started playing Elements so any advice to a newbie is welcome. I am currently using this deck to grind for cash to buy a god-slaying-time-rainbow deck:

18x Stone Pillars
6x Graboids
6x Shriekers

My favorite element is  so any advice regarding that element is especially welcome.

My favorite things include: playing blues on guitar, bass guitar, or harmonica (or harmonica and guitar at the same time thanks to amazing harmonica straps!), playing video games (obviously), stalking forums (obviously, reading, reading, more reading, playing airsoft, even more reading (I have to read a book a week for this class I take... but I like reading anyways and they are good books), listening to music [blues (of course), jazz, LOTS of classical and some seventies heavy metal (Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, etc.), using lots of parenthensis and brackets, eating, and syllogisms!

I look forward to getting to know all of you [yes, I will get to know ALL of you (whoever "you" is)] and I'm excited to have a new forum to stalk.

Welcome to the forums! If your favorite element is time, I suggest picking eternity at the end of the weapons quest if you haven't completled it yet.  Another good deck to try  making is a deck focused on pharoahs and scarabs (both time creatures) with a mark of gravity to allow scarabs to devour other creatures.

Thanks for the advice and welcome guys. I was wondering though Zblader, can the pharoah and scarab deck compete with an otyugh deck with boneyard, bonewall, vultures, etc. (you know the kind I'm talking about?)?

Possibly,  I believe it  depends on how quickly you can get your scarabs out.  Fast draw cards like Precognition and Electrum Hourglass are Time's ace in the hole - but despite that it occaisionaly falls behind in speed.  Eternity really helps in such a case - you can keep using reverse time on the Otyugh to make sure it doesn't attempt to devour your creatures because your opponent will have to keep playing it, wait a turn before he can use it's ability, which is the turn you can use Eternity's reverse time on it.  The best thing about elements is that there is no dominant deck in a PvP metagame (in grinding, rushes are currently prefered, but that's a different matter), so you'll never know how well you do.
