The minimum number of upgrades you can get by with is 5 Rays of Light. The basic idea is to use Fractal on your Rays of Light to multiply them, creating a massive source of Light Quanta, and in conjunction with Hope, and an absolute defense, then Fractaling your Golden Dragons for the kill. Many False Gods become incapable of damaging you once you get to a certain number of RoLs (Ray of Light); for example, Divine Glory's highest attacker is his Morning Glory for 8, which means 8 RoLs + Hope will stop him cold. Some gods have certain creature abilities that wreck your strategy, but that's where Lobotomizer comes in: With it, Osiris' Pharaohs can no longer produce the Scarabs that would have eaten all your RoLs, Elidnis cannot grow his Forest Spectres, etc. Of course, some gods are hopeless to play against; Graviton and Octane can easily kill all of your RoLs and inflict damage to you past your shield via growing creatures or Unstable Gas. But this deck is nonetheless extremely effective against Divine Glory, Osiris, and Paradox, the three False Gods that offer the best spin rates. Just be sure to have a safety net of ~800 electrum before you start grinding with it, because long losing streaks can and will happen every once in a while.
Pendulums and Pillars are used in conjunction in order to minimize the damage incurred by Quicksand, which can only target one Pillar/Pendulum stack at a time, and it really makes a difference when you're play Seism.

+1 Internet for the name, and have a good one around the forums and ingame.
