well, thank you for the advice, however situational it tends to be, as most advice is. Sorry for the sarcastic reply, your' answer though... doesn't really help non-mega vetran god like players though. Take that as a compliment.

You have to farm yourself ir someone else in the top 50 to get more. This is why it's a good idea to try to be in the top 50 - you can control what cards are available for farming this way.
Really, that suggestion only works for 46 people, because the t3 hackers are going to be there for a while, same with you.

Well, that's where you can get more than one. That was the question, and I gave you the answer. I didn't say "be in the top 50", I said try to be in the top 50. If you know when weekly resets happen in your time zone, you can submit your score and take advantage of the reduced top 50 to try and get more of what you have. Or, you can look for the regular farm decks to win cards from them. I can't promise that any one account will have any Shards of Gratitude, but that's the advice I can give you.

Just to clarify, what happens when you want to upgrade a basic shard (won from the slots)? Do you have the option, or does it pick one at random, or what?

When you win one it will be one or the other depending on which one was in the slots.  Unfortunately, they look the same unupgraded.  You have to go to the upgrade window to find out which one you won.

Sunday-Tuesday (the only times I'm in the top 50, and I'm not always in it Tuesday) I will sometimes be running a light/fire deck that makes use of morning glory, miracle, and both types of shards. So if you beat me when I'm using this deck, you may win a SOG.

(No, I'm not going to put them in a farm...)

When you first create an account, you can choose to attach an email to the account. Make sure that this email matches the one that you use for PayPal, and you should be able to get a Shard of Gratitude without much trouble.
oh, that's my problem too

Zanzarino appears to have dropped out of contact for the time being. I suspect he will process your donation when he gets back, but he's been incommunicado for some time. :-\

I wasn't sure about it either, so I emailed him with my game account, email address and paypal reciept number.
Over a week ago, I emailed both the libero.it email that was given in Paypal, as well as the email address on the bottom of the Elements game.  I forwarded my Paypal receipt, gave my info, and asked for a shard.  No response.

Is there somewhere else I'm supposed to email?
