Newb - My upgraded cards disappeared?

Just started a few days ago.
Have four upgraded cards - Oty, Shard, Hourglass, Nova
2 were wins, 2 I bought.
When I logged in today, the Oty and Shard were still there, but my Hourglass and Nova were nowhere to found?!? That was a whole lot of grinding for naught. A couple other cards that I could buy back disappeared too - a protect arti at the very least.

No I don't sleepwalk. No I did not sell them back. What give?

Check your score and your number of wins. If they are lower than they should be, that will help us narrow down the problem.

Is it possible that you were disconnected whilst you won/bought the second two cards? If you are disconnected (flashing red button at the top) then the game will not save your progress to the server. Alternatively, did you have another instance of the game open? Previous instances of the game client connecting to the server will update with their current status even if that overwrites a large chunk of progress in another instance of the client.

I had a similar problem with other cards. (ffq and eternity) normally i'd say it was because I was disconnected, but I had a spin where I won back to back ffq's and I only got one of them.

Was that against level 5? They have both upped and unupped cards, and Firefly Queen and Elite Queen are different cards as far as the spin is concerned.
There is a small pyramid-ish symbol on upped cards in the spins, but it can be difficult to spot at times.

Nope it was against a lvl three. Btw I thought I should say that when I received eternity I already had one, so if you can only have one it would be a non issue. What I'm more concerned about is the loss of the ffq because disconnecting between spins to lose a card seems unlikely.

this is not funny at all

total losses from yesterday (all upgraded cards!!!) FG grinding... which was hard because i only have a few cards upgraded so far (4?)

and enough coins 900??? to keep grinding the FGs for much longer or to use towards another upgrade

um there was no flashing red button at all. none
i know the red button, ive seen it several times.  ive reconnected in the past.
no flashing button for hours.

please dont make assumptions.  i posted to share an experience that appears common enough that game developers need a more certain way to save progress...... like a feature that allows it to automatically reconnect to servers if the signal is lost. etc

again i repeat. NO RED FLASHING BUTTON

ahh sorry my bad then, never had that problem before and i've been playing the past couple days and haven't experienced a rollback of any sort.
