How long is the time difference between wars and how many are there a year? I just thought because I'm probably going to miss this war so I can train, I should ask when the other wars are going to be. Unless it is a complete mystery and no-one could really give less of a damn.

But the specific answer to the OP's question is "however long it takes to complete Trials."

The boards phase between War, then Trials, then War, then Trials, and so on.  Trials in theory take about 3 months, and War in theory takes about 3 months, but it's actually more like War takes 3.5 and Trials take 2.5.  Either way, though, it's about a six-month cycle.
