Farming upgrades

Cow, that's pretty much my deck, except one less PU, 2 less pillars (half of mine are towers) and I added a purify.  Miracle can be finicky, generally you want to do 18-25 damage per turn (lower end is actually better in Miracle's case) and unload everything else only when playing everything you can will bring the game to an end your next attack.  If this is what you do and it hasn't worked out, keep at it, your luck will even out over time (I know, I get sick of hearing other people tell me that too  ).

My aether deck that I use:

15x Aether Pillar (one of them is a tower)
6x Dimensional Shield
6x Phase Dragon
2x Lobo
1x PU

Recently I have added an upgraded purify in place of a pillar, then all of a sudden they increased the cost of dragons.. so I'm at a bit of a loss as to what to do right now. Towers would help I think. I would forego the purify personally until you can get your cards upgraded. Towers and Dragons are by far the best upgrades, maybe even Dragons first. You should not in any circumstance go over 30 cards, as each card you add makes you more vulnerable to not drawing shields.

If you dont play empathic bond until your last turn, why dont you just replace it with heal. you only have 10 possible creatures in your deck.

so if you have every single creature in your deck out on the last turn and you play empathic bond you would gain 10 health, and maybe not recieve the health because of premature victory bug. this would take 5 quanta life quanta...

Heal on the other hand does not suffer from the bug, doesnt require creatures, heals for 10 and costs 2 life quanta.

Sometimes you need Empathic Bond to stay alive during the game, as this deck has no creature control or shields. If you waste your heals doing that, you don't have one on the final turn for the extra point of healing after Miracle. I did mention to only play it during your final turn *unless you need to stay alive*, which does happen.

The reasons why you would not play it earlier, especially if you only have the one, are for obvious things like Steal and Deflag, and/or you need the mana for dragons. So Empathic Bonds I think are much more versatile than Heal, which I feel is a pretty weak card comparatively all things considered. Although in the specific situation you describe, yes Heal costs less for the same job, and that's pretty much the only time it would be worth the savings.

I wish I had chosen the Lobo as the quest reward weapon. (i went with vamp dagger)

I have my aether deck waiting for false god farming but I have yet to find a Lobo.. 400 games and I very rarely fight an aether deck while level 3 farming. I don't remember even seeing one played..

Where did you all get your Lobos?

As for upgrades, I haven't got past the false gods quest yet

If you can get past the grind, doing lvl 3s can get you the required score rather quick-ish

I'd have to say Top 50 would be the best place to find them,
I have seen them in lvl 2's i think

Personally, I play PvP mostly. You can get more score and money, and it's more interesting - you don't get the same decks over and over again.

As for upgrades, I haven't got past the false gods quest yet, mainly due to people with low scores fielding decks that are totally unimagivative grind decks (Phase dragons, etc) and it's against these that I lose score. People that I beat are people with high scores, and new/slightly imaginative decks (ie, non-grind), but I'll probably play PvP for money, then grind the gods.

Finally won a Lobo in PvP today so I'm starting the slow process of upgrading an Aether deck to farm the false gods.

There are almost no Aether decks in L3 so your best bet is T50 or PvP.

@Pilchard123: I know how you feel.  A requirement for all my decks now is that they can beat Mono-Aether.

phase dragons(immaterial) + dimensional shield + lobo with maybe a PU or 2 to avoid miracle's miracle

it's not as good as the rainbow decks but it's cheap enough to start your farming since rainbows by and large need to be fully upgraded.
