The problem is not ram at all. It's a flash game so it doesn't really take up any ram. Your CPU is the problem. Sounds like you have a single processor in your laptop. I would recommend selling that laptop and getting one with at least a duo core processor. My laptop has one and it runs Elements rather well, and it runs decently with a completely full board of creatures.

I am using an ASUS EeePC with XP and it works perfectly
I bet windows 7 is slower then vista...
To go a little off topic, it depends on your system specs, and what kind of graphical effects you have going in Win7. But for the most part, Win7 comes it just barely faster than Vista.

My system was a bit better than yours, and it ran Win7 just perfectly, no problems, not slow at all. You'd be able to run it just fine.

Don't bother to install XP. It will not help you much at all. The problem is your CPU. It's not a very good CPU. Playing on anything less than a duo core processor will cause the game to run pretty slow occasionally, mostly when there are a lot of creatures on the field.

But this should be helped some with the new update, whenever it might go live, as Zanz made it so the low quality setting also removes some of the animations, making the game run smother.

Unfortunately it is your CPU.

I'm running a 1 GB, 1.66GHZ Atom with Hyperthreading and I can play Elements quite ok with another flash heavy window minimized. I'm on an Asus 1000HE, if it counts for anything.

I couldn't resist to read this post :D

I play (well... played because i got banned today for no reason that i know... :/ ) in my netbook Samsung nc10 and i have no problem at all. It has a 1.6 Intel atom and 1 giga ram.

I'm curious about if you have problems with another programs or games. I.E., if you try to play another game (fullscreen) do you get problems?

Also, are you using a Intel GMA 950 (integrated vga)? If so, you could try GMA BOOSTER (search for it in google). I use that so i can play warcraft III on my netbook at 25-35 fps (low but incredibly playable).

Another program that i would recommend is GAME BOOSTER (search for it again XD). A friend of mine got a problem like yours with a game and with that program he could "hide" (i think close is a better word for that) anything that isn't needed to be processed and you can get a notorious improvement.

I wish i could help.

Pd: sorry for my english... i'm from Chile so i talk in spanish ;D
Pd2: i want to play :(

See ya!

I discovered that your problem maybe is your VGA.

You should look at this link http://www.netbookmarket.net/intel-gma950-vs-gma500/

See below... as you could see, the 3dmark score is too low!
Well... you can say to me "but it's only a flash game", but, if you see, the bandwith and the speed is really low.

I think that you should go to a store and ask for the same model that you have, turn it on and try the game. If it plays at normaly speed, definetly is a problem with the hardware of your netbook (not the software).

Have you seen the bios? maybe you should try a "load default". Sometimes it works. You never know who put his hands on your netbook before you got it on the store.

See ya
