Dissipation Shield not working

I'm sorry if this topic's been covered here somewhere, but the forum says I can't use the search option to check...

My problem is, the Dissipation Shield does not work at all. At first it would work for a few turns, then suddenly stop absorbing damage (I can't remember if still sucking Entropy quanta or not), even though the card would remain shown in the "shield" field. But now it doesn't even pretend to be working, when I draw the card it appears in the "shield" section, but doesn't absorb any damage nor quanta, just as if it has never been drawn. Please explain and/or help?

Did you have a Sanctuary out?

Are you sure you paid attention? You also might have had a sanc out like Rutarete said. THAT would be a mega fail.

Well, maybe... I don't remember... I'm guessing it screws the DS? Bollocks :/

^That or you might have been playing against creatures with momentum, which allow those creatures to bypass shields.
