Quality defaults to highest

Hello I have recently encountered another problem. When I set quality to lowest it auto defaults back to highest. Any fix for this problem?

does that happen the moment you try to set it to low quality or does that happen when you reload the game? Because it's called default for a reason in that each time you load the game the default settings are always going to be the ones that are one. You have to manually change it each time you load the game.

The moment I set it to low quality. Only happening with v1.17.

Update: Only minor bug apparently. Realized that game is still in low quality, just that for settings it is displayed at high quality.
