Cannot save new arena deck

Quickly rebuilding your deck? Nahhh, just open the highscore or something in another window/tab, reload if it doesn't load and once it does, come back to your flash-game and save the deck. That's the trick.

Really. The game should retry to connect after some timeout time all by itself. And this problem is all over the place... the arena is affected, the oracle, everything.

Not sure where you get these recurring ideas. I talked to him just yesterday. You need to understand this is a hobby project and as such he'll take long breaks sometimes as he always has, but might work on it whenever. We're all used to it. I also had to edit your post because you're being pointlessly caustic.

As for this issue, I had to open, close and reopen a couple times, but it works. This isn't a trick most players know about though, which is evidenced by none of my decks getting a single play during the entire day of yesterday. As such I can agree it's a legit concern.

We're re-writing posts now?  What's more, not because they're vulgar, but just because they're caustic? Funny, I thought most totalitarian regimes had been overthrown by now, seems there are a few left still... (am I being to caustic?)

However, hoping to elude censorship, I'll throw in my complaint also.

Arena is down - AGAIN - and it has been so for days, I understand this might be a simple hobby, but does this mean it's acceptable when it repeatedly doesn't work over long periods of time?

People on a privately owned server have no grounds to insult the developer, nor do you, inthisroom, have any grounds to criticise my moderation when you don't even know what I've removed. Yes, moderators edit out flaming in posts if the rest of the post can be salvaged. It's quite preferable to deleting posts, and has been done on most forums since the dawn of time. Sorry if I disappointed you, I understand that moderating this forum certainly isn't easy, but I have always had very strong reactions regarding censorship of any kind, if it's not to remove pointless, non-contributing vulgarity. It's the "caustic" that I picked up uppon, that's all, and as I tend to be caustic myself, I might have felt myself in danger here

I didn't really intend to criticise the developper, he has offered me a game that I play with passion and that I have several times supported with donations, but it's true that the excuse "it's just a hobby" for repeated problems doesn't seem satisfying to me, I think that whatever one does, it should be done right, may it be a hobby or professional.

I already relaxed, a bad day is a bad day is a bad day, and when you let off steam, it's generally not at the right place...

Sadly, the game does retry to connect, but it does not help much: the problem is not the game but the server. When a server gets busy, godaddy blocks connections from users that did not recently loaded a web page to reduce the server load. Loading data from an alternate server should work, but it will take me a while to fix this.

Might I recommend moving to Rackspace, where you get real control over your server? The prices are very comparable, but Rackspace is far more reliable and carries less baggage. You have full SSH access, can bring nodes up and down as needed, and only pay for what you use.
