Banned?

Alright so I was just playing on Kongregate for the badges (was working on the 'Defeat a Fake God' when I lost the connection and couldn't save anymore.. tried to log back in, but it just said 'You have been banned from Elements'.

As far as I know I did nothing wrong, nor did anybody else who has been on this computer. So yeah, how did this happen, and is it just temporary or permanently :\?

Almost all bans are temporary and, with a very few exceptions, they happen for a good reason. most of times turns out that the little brother is a baby hacker, the neighbor is using your wi-fi connection, you played the game from school, or "Oops I used cheat engine, I did not know it was against the rules" etc.

In your case, TheBeast87, your electrum amount magically, instantly, raised to 100001. Any idea about how that happened?

Since I can not investigate each case, just be patient, in  a few days the ban will be removed, in the while have fun with the trainer and be sure to punish your little brother.

Alright, well I live all by myself so I don't think my baby brother could've done it, lol (I actually have one, btw). Anyway, no, I'm not sure how it happened. And yeah, I'll just play on the trainer until the ban gets removed :-) Gives me some time to make up a good deck (besides the ones mentioned here on the forum).

Zanzarino already said that it takes a couple of days, what more do you need?

You should feel lucky that you are not permanently banned. Regular players don't suddenly get 100001 cash, although I'm sure you "have no idea what happened" and are just an innocent victim.

Well, no need to start a new thread, but the same thing happened to me. No, nobody else used this computer, no, I did not use any cheat engines ( I'd mess that up if I tried seriously, and why ruin the fun of the game), and now I'm just wondering if anybody can give me a reason I was banned. Or a general reason why people get banned, 'cause seriously, is there an automatic ban-bot thing or something being used? And now the developer is unwilling to look at what it is actually doing? That seems a bit off to moi. Thx in advance for any reply.

This has just happened to me.  Coincidentally I also have played the game from Kongregate.com for the badges but that was 2 or 3 days ago now.  Kongregate should be well known for having hackers alter variables to achieve high-scores etc, but I have no idea how to do such a thing and have no interest in it either.  This is very concerning because I don't know what it means.  Is it a bug with this new version's programming?  Is it that someone's hacked my account from Kongregate?  Is it people are able to hack just the game itself?  I have no idea why my account has been banned, but I'm hoping it's another automatic temp ban because I've been playing this game on and off for quite a while now, and having to recollect all the cards I've acquired so far would be a real pain the backside.

... Thinking about it now, do you think the new feature to the game wherein you can check your account name AND PASSWORD with a button in the top right would make that information easily accessible to those who can hack into and check variables in the swf?

I look forward to some kind of explaination for this occurance being found because I'm sure this could be quite distressing for a lot of people.

Uh. this has happened to me too. It wouldn't save my details yesterday, and today it says I'm banned. I have never cheated, no-one has been on my laptop, no-one has used my internet, I have not played it from school. There is no reason I can see for being banned, but still I am. Spent all of yesterday grinding lvl 3's, and now it seems wasted. =( Sorry for seeming rude, but I'd really like to be able to play my account again. It's DepRac, same as my name here fyi. Pls Help. =(

The same thing happened to me and my brother...

I dont know if we've broken other rules...The only thing I could think of would be having 2 accounts (I chose wrong element on account one)

Just wanted to say I haven't been banned, don't know what Kongregate is, but I did lose an entire day of FG grinding last week.  I can only assume the 'saving-confirming-confirmed' messages got broken, as I learned last November to follow those closely and NEVER move on until it's confirmed my save.

I'm a little shocked to see the behavior of the "staff" when presented with multiple data-points that seem to point to a possible real problem. 

With one user having this "issue" I completely understand, but after 15 years of development and support, I can say when you are presented with multiple similar data-points, that's often the time to stop blaming the end-user and be sure all your ducks are in a row (believe me, I've been there and been the one to look like an ass after the real problem was found).  Just sayin

Recently there has been increased number of bans and other technical problems due to the server change. I'm sure Zanzarino is doing his best to fix them after coming home from his day job so that we can all enjoy this 100% FREE game.

OP's situation had nothing to do with these recent events. He had 100001 Electrum instantly appear on his account. That's the point when I start blaming the end-user, even though I don't have 15 years of development and support experience.
