i am still somewhat new to the forum can someone please explain things such as how one obtains karma, an avatar, and other things of this nature. thank you very much

Well, to get an avatar, you need 20 posts, then you can use a preset avatar related to elements.

At 200 posts, you can take an image URL, and use that as your avatar.

And at 500 posts, you can upload an image directly from your computer, I think.

I believe you need 30 posts actually to use a preset avatar.

As for karma, another user gives it to you if they think you are helpful, dedicated, make a good deck, etc. AKA, it's reputation. You can do the same for others once you reach 30+ posts.

I'm pretty sure you need 50 posts to give karma.
