points / score / money reset on account: severe external flash player error https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=734.msg7056#msg7056

Half a "help request" half a warning...

My Laptop doesn't have a dedicated graphics card, so playing elements can be extremely slow
- especially against gods with lots of stuff on the board.

So today I thought I'd do something smart and launched the SWF file in an external player (swiff in my case)
as I remembered reading something about that in the forum.

All started great. the game ran as fast as never before on my laptop.
A while into playing however, things did again turn slow and I tried to find some settings to adjust.

Next thing I know, my points, money and wins/losses were set to zero - and saved to the database
(from approx. 65000 points and a few thousand gold coins)

After the initial shock, i discovered the account wasnt reset however: all my deck and cards are still there.
I'm guessing theres not much that can be done about my loss (?) but at least I wanted to give the info and warn others.

I guess this concludes my quest of staying in the top50 -sob-

anyway. I guess I still like the game enough to keep playing.

If you send an email to zanzarino using the link on the main game page, he can usually restore your account to the last time it was backed up.

That's horrible. o-o I've never heard of an error like this before, but it's odd that it would just reset your stats like that. I used to play in the SWF file, too, but whenever I clicked Skip Ad it would automatically click Play Now and I couldn't go back, so I had to either refresh the page or make a new account. >.<"

Thanks for the warning, and sorry to hear about your misfortune. :'(
