30 minutes for a game is extremely long compared to pvp matches where 10 is already a lot. Do you think the people have the patience to do such a thing? One big advantage I see with this over actual gaming is the asynchronous aspect of it, allowing for much more flexibility, but longer and more drawn out games.
Yes, well, that one doesn't show lots of livelihood now. Why is that the case? How can the playtesting now benefit from the faults of the previous one and be made better?
I am not so sure about that. When I did playtesting for cymothoa, I just brought along steam machines as fillers for same cost and used them in trainer, keeping a notepad nearby to record the damage they would do. Unless a card's ability is too radical, I think most cards can be "integrated" into the game as long as both players are aware of what it does and keep careful notes.
