just happened to me yesterday, and I was off of EtG for 2 years.

I know I'm addicted because:
I quit 2 years ago, and when I "re-discovered" EtG, I got readdicted.

No, no, you kill yourself with SoSac when you get addicted. Dying will obviously get rid of some of the addiction.
