It's actually a pretty old one.  Here's a review (http://www.dvhardware.net/article6343.html) from 2005.

2 of the "keys" is tilting the wheel left or right.  And 2 are for sensitivity changes on the fly.

The "back" button is usually used to go back when surfing the net, but it's been assigned to keystroke: Space for several months.   

It also has a cartridge for loading weights into the bottom, but I set it once and never changed it again.  I'm not sure where those weights are now, heh.

He assigned the "back" button to be "Space" instead. So basically, whenever he hits the side of his mouse, he ends his turn.

It was confusing to me too at first.

Yup.

when you do a report on ruby dragons in biology class
when you stick someones head in the freezer so he wont do anything for 3 turns
