"literally" is a key word.  it's a powerful word.  it means it truly is what is stated.  and he stated it would be equally valid.  soft serve ice cream and potato are in the same league, and as such is equally valid as well.

But it's clear from the how the community receives such a card is that it is perceived as humor.

If he had really meant it, then the Curators would've accepted the element of "Poo" (Or 'Processed Chocolate', as your attempt to get inappropriate content past the radar (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/GettingCrapPastTheRadar).) in the first place. 
Again, the community clearly views this card as bad humor rather than a serious card attempt.

You're either completely ignoring the complaints of the other users, or you're aware of this and you're trying to draw attention to something.
