And here is one thing that does limit shards OP (although not by much) : You can use them too. as you said, they ARE other, so any deck can take advantage of them
Anyway the counter is simple. Stealing, perma destruction, or..use the shards yourself.

They should remove newbies from the game because newbies are boring. Only people who played the game for at least 6 months should be allowed to start playing the game.
that card is balanced because so many people have it.
except that it can be outrushed. I havent lost a single pvp based on that card. I have always outrushed its healing. When I lose a pvp battle against a card that uses it, I will let you know.
IMO, SoG is a 
card because
SoG is available to every elements, but sanc is only available to light, which makes it more imba...
Ive said it before. I think the best way to make sanctuary and sog less op is to just make more continuous healing cards
As a side note to this, SoG is a card that people got access at first from donating to elements. why would you want to lessen the power of something that some people paid for? it's their right to have it as it is

2. SoG is one of the most versatile card in game because everyone can use it
3. it raises the challenge difficulty (which is good)
4. survivability odds against FG is increased tenfolds
5. it can be easily countered
7. IT'S HEALING, why would you not want that?
Second, If SoG nerfed, all famous upped deck (especialy CCYB that focused on heal to survive) will change.
