Ah yes, I found that probably as you were typing. Wikipedia says (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Longest_word_in_English) it's disputed whether it's a word or not.

If you wanted to put that word into posts on the forum, you'd have to split into into 3 separate posts because of the character limit.

Ha! I knew I wasn't the only person in the world who knew that word! I always get tripped up on the second to last "i". I always think it's an "e". Otherwise, I show it to my English teachers when possible. <3

Followed the wikipedia link and ended up finding

"O, they have lived long on the alms-basket of words. I marvel thy master hath not eaten thee for a word; for thou art not long by the head as honorificabilitudinitatibus: thou art easier swallowed than a flap-dragon" (from Shakespeare's Love's Labour's Lost)

which i unfortunately misread as

O, they have lived long on the alms-basket of words. I marvel thy master hath not eaten thee for a word; for thou art not long by the head as honorificabilitudinitatibus: thou art easier swallowed than a fap-dragon

sigh.

I got my long word from my wikipedia link. Talk about lazy, huh? :)
I usually trip up on the last C, I never think it belongs there and every time I say it I thnk "But I just said that C!" That happens with the last T in honorificabilitudinitatibus also.

And how about googolplex?
