In the last days/months/years, our beloved chat was daily marred by the very bad internet connection of Dm1321.

Now I'm no expert, but I believe a schrodinger's cat may have attacked Dm's router, causing him to simultaneously join and leave chat. If that's the case, you may want to also get animal control to look at Dm's internet, as well as an electrician.

The forums cant maintain the data dm needs to have for an appropriate chat stay. Chat cant even handle him right now.

Once upon a time, Dm bought a wireless router, and it had a wonderful icon on the side, a reminder of his favorite online game, Elements. But there was one side effect: The entropic icon induced actual entropy. His router acted uncontrollably. His router simultaneously connected and disconnected him, and he oscillated in and out of chat like an entropic pendulum. There was mass pandemonium: Abominations like werewolves crawled out of his modem, throwing his internet signal into chaos.

In the end, there was nothing he could do to prevent his router from splintering into thousands of serendipitous shards, all with a section of the entropy icon painted on the side.

If that's the case all he has to do is open the router and look at the cat. If the cat lives the problem is solved and dm gets a pet. If it dies the router breaks, so he's got to buy a new one ... and explain where the hell the dead cat came from.

It could be a Phoenix router. Whenever it dies, it comes back up. In that case, he needs to get the router an electrician, animal control, and maybe a magician.
