Robotic doesn't necessarily mean metal or even heavy.  Have you ever had your arm fall completely asleep during the night and tried to lift it with your other hand in the morning?  Arms are kind of heavy!

Your wings would have to be huge to lift your weight. Albatros have a wingspan of up to 3m40 (11.2 ft) for 10-20 Kg. It wouldn't be obvious to put a jacket on ... That said, it probably worth it!
