I love dogs, hate cats

really i hate cats they are cute but they they are boring just do what they want a dog is a real friend you spent evry time you can give with him (personal experience) so btw what are your favourite dog races: my is German Boxer, Pitbull (no not all pitbulls are brutal xd) golden retriever what i hate more then cats are chiuauas (or how you spell them) they really suck i hate them they only bark my boxer nearly never barks and if i had a chiuaua i would been afraid a bird would come and eat him

Pitbulls, Dobermans, Great Danes (rooby rooby roo), Pulis, Bernese Mountain Dogs, um.. everything.. Well, I like them all but the ones I wouldn't really want to keep are pretty much lapdogs like Chihuahuas maybe. Maybe, because I like Pomeranians.

But, I've been around Pitbulls most. So, I guess that and Dobermans are my favorite? I really can't decide.

Not because they are fierce or anything, I like Dobermans (

) because they can have great temperament and naturally protect things (like your children). For Pitbulls, their fierce nature towards humans was pretty much bred out because they were killed if they ever bit a person in the past. I really like how gentle and energetic they are, even though they now have the bad reputation that Dobermans had in the past.

My parents own a Pit mix and it is the most lovable thing in the world.  Prior to that they had a Australian Shepherd/Cur mix which had puppies with a roving Chow.  The one pup they kept was an ugly dog but very friendly and loyal.  Mutts are the best.

Anyone who is interested in why cats suck, here's the reason: Humans haven't used cats as pets as long as we have used dogs.

Cats were useless during the Stone Age, so humans had nothing to do with them, other then maybe eat them. Dogs on the other hand were used in hunting very early on. Evolution and breeding has made dogs get along very well with human, whereas cats still have many features seen in wild animals.

Cats are with humans only for one reason: food. If there were no food, cats would leave. Dogs on the other hand see themselves as a part of the family. Proof of this is dogs saving and protecting people. Cats couldn't care less.

Maybe in a couple of thousand of years cats have evolved enough to make a half-decent pet. Meanwhile they are the preferred "easy-mode" pet for singles and the crazy cat lady next door.

to be fair, I think that cats were originally domesticated to deter small pests like rats and mice which would spread disease. My point is we never wanted them working with us really, just wanted them to by silent murderers that controlled the rodent population. I think going from that to cuddly is going to take a lot more work than the way dogs became so close to us.

We actually have been using dogs to work together as teams for a long time so they are more reliant on and helpful to humans...

You guys hate cats thats rediculous. My grandma had 23 cats at one time when my mom was going up. They all dead now. I miss Ziggy. She was evil

I have 2 cats because my sister chose a cat over a dog........ the only reason i hate my sister.
