And, because I was bored, I decided to go through with it!

That's not half bad. Maybe a bit overpriced. It would certainly have synergy with bonds.

But that means we can't call dusk shields ducks anymore.

Since this is a humor card, you don't have to take any of the following seriously if you don't want to. I think this could be submitted as a card. I like it But before that, I have a few suggestions.
What you do for the duck, is below the table for Duck Shield you add another table for Duck | Swan - that's where its casting cost and stats go.

For the text:
"Shield: If you received 7 or greater damage on the opponent's turn, spawn a Duck | Swan."
OR
"Shield: Whenever you take 7 or more damage, spawn a Duck | Swan."
(I included the part about the opponent in case you don't want this to be trigger-able by bolting yourself. Or trigger by poison.)
The way it is, you're practically guaranteed a free Abyss Crawler every (other) turn. It's like Mitosis with an hp cost. Probably lower the cost for both upped and unupped by 2 or so.

That's actually a false assumption, this does not have an HP cost, because it is hp you would have lost anyway

If you lose more than seven health a turn, an extra 3 | 3 creature isn't going to do much.

I suggest the following changes.

Duck Shield

Shield: When damaged, spawn X/4 Ducks, where X is damage taken.

Swan Shield

Shield; When damaged, spawn X/4 Swans, where X is damage taken.

Round down.

Dragons will spawn 3 ducks per attack, and considering that you'll likely die before your field is full of 3/3 ducks dealing 69 damage a turn, I don't think it's that powerful. This also allows for medium-level creatures to flourish (5-6 damage), as they will only spawn one duck instead of 3 like dragons or 0 ducks if attacked by adrenalined 2 | 2 creatures.

However, this is a joke card and you are free to decide what you would like to do with it.

On the contrary, it ramps damage, to complement the damage from your own creatures. Couple this with a green nymph and those innocent ducks start dealing 12 damage per turn.

Plus, taking more than 7 damage in one turn is pretty common, even if you are winning.

7 damage is one upgraded Lava Golem, one morning star, one Titan. Hardly insta lose.

Looks pretty balanced as it is to me tbh. 7 mana for what will likely be a 3/3 every turn, similar to the cost/value of a Firefly Queen, but without the ability mana cost

This is humor but I actually like it a lot. Its a pretty unique effect, and it fits really well into life.

Totally submit it. People like it, it's an unusual shield and provides a lot of in-element ability with adrenaline, as pointed out.

I do like my sister's idea of spawning based on damage received, but as it currently is is great.
