Ooh, I like.  Couple small things to make it even more awesome, though:

"six Fate Eggs hatching" would still fit in the meter.
"Quintessences" doesn't fit in the meter, picking something else is probably a good idea.

Otyugh has three syllables, right?  That fits, then.  Personally, I pronounce it "awe-tea-ooh."

Also, just noticed Horned Frogs has 2 syllables where the meter calls for 4 - if you want to keep a life creature there, you could use Four Cock-a-tric-es.

emmm are we talking about the same song?
The orinal song says two Turtle Doves. That is: tur-tle-doves. Ruby dragons (maybe I say it wrong) is ru-by-dra-gons. There is something wrong there. I thought it was quint-es-cence (3 syllables).
And I say Hor-ned-frogs (do I say it wrong?). The song says "calling birds" (ca-lling-birds) that is 3 syllables.

Three French Hens, actually - your Two is Voodoo Dolls.  Same deal for 3, of course, and for 4.  Oops.

Quint-es-SENCE still produces an awkward accent, if it's normally pronounced Quint-ES-sence.  I'm running out the door right now, don't have time to think one up.
