I am really sad to see so many forfeited games in this event -- this comment is general, not only about this particular round. For other events, where only win-count matters it is no problem at all. But in this specific event it does matter exactly what decks (FGs) a player won with. This means it is very difficult to handle them fairly:
- if those players who got "free wins" get a chance to pick what FG they won with when they did not play, that's unfair to others because they could pick FGs that are difficult to win with and get those hard wins to be ticked out from their list.
- if the winning FGs are picked by someone else, that is unfair to the players who got the 'bye', as they might have managed to get wins for some harder FGs
- most players tend to go for 8-point victories, but it does not always work out, sometimes an already used strong FG deck needs to be played in desperate situations, so what's the fair amount of points to award ? A victory could be anywhere from 5 to 8 points.
