Mono Life Frog rush and Mono Death Mummy
are mindless grinders. They are not afk grinders. Firestall is an okay afk grinder - after the first 10 turns or so, you'll be set up, and you can hold the spacebar until Fahrenheit kills them. There are also the 500 HP EM decks that win by outhealing everything, and the poison stalls and whatnot.

The AI3 grinders you named involve so much clicking that you would end up not being able to concentrate on your television show or whatever you're doing in the meantime.

Ohhh, now I get it :D well, I guess you have a point (and I will try it, since I always tried to do afk grinding)

There is definately a fun aspect to the HB, but other than that? they really aren't that great. The biggest frustration I have is spinning and getting the same card, but different upped or unupped meaning I don't win anything. Perhaps my idea of a semi-special spinner (like the arena, but instead of rares using your opponents cards) would work best here, allowing you to spin to increase your chances of getting an upped card.

Honestly, Half-Bloods never have been one of my main interests. It was quite easy for me to jump from lvl 3 AI to False Gods. I have fought against Half-Bloods like...3 times or so. Maybe it is my lack of experience of fighting them, but I don't find them as challenging as False Gods. Furthermore, spins from FG give me upped cards only, which is a better way to earn  :electrum than farming Half-Bloods. If I want something unpredictable, I simply go to the Arena. It has one advantage more comparing to Half-Bloods as well: Shards. I have never heard someone won shard fighting Half-Bloods. Has anyone? Maybe later, if I got bored of Arena, I'd be more eager to fight Half-Bloods, but I truly doubt it at the moment.

Actually HB are waaaayyy easier han FG (even a shrieker rush do well vs HB). For my part they are qute worthy when you begin and have enough money to build an unupped firestall they can help to have 6 ROL for a RoL/hope deck for example.

Sadly arena isn't that much unpredictable.. NoTP Fire stall fire rush ad speedbow are at least 50% of the deck in arena, even more IMO.

Finally HB doesn't have shard. Actually no AI have shard at all.

I play against HB when I'm testing a deck.
And I got a few upped cards as a reward. ^^
^^^ this. There isn't really a good way to test decks for the arena other than playing a few matches against HB (other than just jumping straight into the arena, but that can get frustrating with an untested deck.)

edit: another reason they are good for testing is because there is no meta gaming involved, so your probably not going to face a bunch of the same deck in a row.

I have just today starting playing HB's instead of AI3. I have a list of different decks found throughout the forums for AI3 grinding to help break the monotany of said grind, but they all get stale in due time. I am still trying to build a RoL/Hope deck for FG's but at the moment my only option is the unupped CCYB posted by scared girl and going 1-12 is not my idea of a good time. Against HB's the unupped CCYB has served me quite well however. After around 20 games (i didn't keep count and gauge that number on my electrum gained) i only remember loosing 2 matches and all but 1 of the wins have been EM's. So maybe AI3 grinding is faster for electrum, and FG's better for upped/rares, but unless you have the upped/rares to start farming FG's in the first place, HB's are that sweet middle ground that i have been searching for but told to stay away from.
