While I voted for just right, it's not because the AI is good it's because level 5 is the only place ot access rares without challenging farm decks in top50.

Examples of terrible AI plays: mutating all my creatures into more powerful creatures, playing dissipation shield on top of the upgraded dissipation shield in the same turn, using rage potion on high life creatures with low attack, playing liquid shadow on my dragons when they were going to win the life race, etc.

Ai-5 seems to have achieved the design goal of being between AI-3 and the False Gods in difficulty. You can take a lot of whimsical ideas and make them work in AI-3, just because AI-3 sucks. The best AI-3 decks may also work against AI-5, but most of the "wouldn't it be fun if .... ?" decks don't.

Rares can be won from AI3 and AI2. I am not sure about winning them from AI1, however. But AI5 is a more moderate way to win Upgraded cards if your deck is not good enough to beat the FGs at a somewhat decent rate.

I've won a pulverizer from AI1 before, those decks have rares as well....

Aye Aye Cap'n. I've played matches where the AI just won't play cards for like 15 turns. It scares me. Don't Anti-nerf them. I can't beat FGs and I make close to 95% win rate with HBs.

Yh HB's make stupid moves sometimes. I once played a L5 that used liquid shadow and basilisk blood on the same creature in one turn. After 6 turns it was a massacre. For him of course :p

I easily beat AI5 with a light mono-deck crafted in the manner of SG's noob forum. Longer game, but just as easy.

It varies by half breed, some I have no trouble with, some just kinda go super rush and beat me to death.  though it might be because I suck and not due to their skill

I think they are a good balance. Ive been using scaredgirls unupped FG deck, and been able to usually beat them, although occasionally they beat me. I say they are a real good difficulty, because just because you can beat a level 3 doesnt mean you can beat a lvl 5, trust me on that, i learned that the hard way when I first started playing. I think it is a good stepping stone for the fgs, and instead of making them harder, i think it would be a better idea to make a new lvl 6 ai that follows the same rules, but has better decks (and not randomized ones), but not quite as powerful as the FGs, that way we have the lvl 3s, the ai that are weaker than the fgs, but stronger than the lvl 3s and leaning more towards the lvl 3 side, then the level 6s that will be stronger than lvl 3 and weaker than the fgs, but leaning more towards the fgs. Maybe a pure upgraded deck (but have it so that you can only win upgraded cards still a certain % and the rest will be defaulted to a non upgraded/

FWIW I think it is about right...if anything I would leave the difficulty alone and tweak the spinner a bit. (Better rewards)

I played a lot of games against ai5 and I won only one rare card and zero upgraded cards....The games are harder than AI3 (naturally) but with a small chance at an upgraded card (painfully small chance IMO). The games take about the same length as a FG (200 HP's) but the reward is MUCH MUCH less. No one in there right mind would farm AI5 as it is now (if they had a decent even 30% win rate against a few of the FG's).

There are reasons to play the top 50 (rares), reasons to play FG (upgraded cards)...reasons to play AI3 (fast / easy cash for beginners who need to do it).

There is no viable reason to really farm AI5's now except maybe for a very short period of time when you can beat AI5's but not FG's which only lasts a few upgrades.

For this reason, I would consider changing the half bloods a bit. I would change the way the spinner works for the HB's...Maybe for every triangle (upgraded card) that shows up you got a small increase in coins...What frustrated me in playing HB's is that often I would get 2 upgraded X card, and one non upgraded card of the same thing (x) and get nothing in return. In las begas if I were to hit 7's with a gold bar and one 7 without a gold bar, the reward would be much more than hitting just the 7's....If you catch my drift...

I guess to make a long boring story short, I think the HB's are tough enough for what little profit they give, they make a decent transition from 3's to FG. If anything they should be made to be a little more profitable so that people stay with them a little longer before moving on to FG's.

My 2 cents.

I've won 20 cards off of L5 half of which were upgraded. L5 is also a bit too easy to beat...As someone else pointed out they really aren't quick on the draw and when they do get critters out they aren't all that brutal.

So if you're whining about not getting cards then either improve your play or your deck. You can't blame the developer if you suck...

In my opinion it would make for a better L4 than an L5...
You mustve gotten really lucky. Out of about 20 WON battles against them, I got about 6-7 cards. None of them were upgraded. Just because youre lucky doesnt mean that the systems bad. Just because im unlucky it doesnt mean the systems bad.

Sometimes they are quick on the draw. They suffer from bad hands just like we do. I have found that they do occasionally take a while to play anything, but ive also found that more often than not, they get a card out pretty fast. Once youre use to the false gods having upgraded pillars that allow you to take out creatures on the first turn though, the ai5 does definitly seem like it takes a while.

EDIT
First battle against a half blood of the day, on turn 3, he had 3 monsters out. 1 dragon, 1 oty (that he immortilized) and a phase spider. Not too bad for the 3rd turn imo.
