Trio & Quartet / Re: Poison Rush
« on: November 18, 2010, 07:17:00 pm »
Nightfall/eclipse effect does not stack and titanium shield is not upgraded. Agree with Mithcairion, there are lots of upgraded shield that blocks 2 damage. If the purpose of this deck is vs AI3, then it's okay.
It's only suppose to farm AI3, and DeathStalkers aren't the only source of poison in this deck. The Chrysaoras deal 1 poison damage for 1 Death Quanta.
If that's the case, just replace Scorpions and :darkness with Puffer Fish and :water Towers + :death Pendulums.
Puffer Fish costs 5 Water Quanta, taking a it longer to summon, while the Scorpions take 2 Death quanta to summon, on my side, I prefer Scorpions.
True, your 0 attack Scorpion costs only 2 :death, but you also need 4 :darkness Eclipse for it to actually do something. Oh well, it's your deck and if it works for you, then why change it.

General Discussion / Re: Most underrated card
« on: November 16, 2010, 09:11:32 pm »
Beats me why only 22% (=35/159) has voted against buffing that card.
I used to think this card was useless and needed a buff, but after making SoR/eternity and SoR squid/machine decks that own I have changed my views.  SoR can be brilliant in a deck bult around it.  However just sticking SoR in a deck is generally a terrible idea.  The card is VERY situational, but very powerful when used with the right cards.
Fine words from The Deck Builder we all know.

Buff This Card! / Re: Virus - Retrovirus

I spent some 3 mins to build that deck after I saw this topic. That should explain why it looks bit random, lol.

Buff This Card! / Re: Virus - Retrovirus

I think Retrovirus is pretty good as it is. Maybe it could have Poisonous, but I'm not sure about that Plague-when-devoured ability.

If you don't see how good Retrovirus can be, try something like this:

Did you also make this as a T50 harms? I would love to face this deck in T50.

Also, do you take requests for biting farms/harms?
That deck is in T50 at the very moment, only difference is that 4 rare cards are unupped. Not sure how long I last in T50 this week - I'm now at position 47 (158k score). Darn multi-submissions, without those I'd be higher in ladder... Once again Top50 has turned to Top~40 >:(

I post all my harm decks here (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,12457) ="2nd link on my sign box". You can post your request there, if you like me to build something especially for you for next week.

Deck Compilations / Sleep with the Fishes - Half-Blood EM using Poseidon!

Deck Helper comment:
This deck was posted before the 1.32 game update and as a result may work very differently now.  Use at your own risk.

I made this deck first as annoying T50 farm for SoD/SoG/Arctic Squid/Trident, and then I wanted to give it a try how well the quanta-base works. First I tried AI3 which was really easy, as you may expect for a deck with 12 Shards. I continued testing on AI5, and to my surprise I won all my first 5 games with EM and ~120-160 health. This definitely isn't the cheapest nor the fastest Half-Blood grinder, but it puts Trident/Poseidon for a good use and is actually quite fun deck to play with.

In case of you're wondering why I used those un-upped creatures: Chrysaora instead of Physalia because it's "protected from shield effects", and Toadfish for creature control - completely different ability in Puffer Fish.

PS. If someone feels the need to say this isn't mono, because it has off-color pendulums, then hopefully looking this version calms you down. (I made the first deck using only Towers/Pendulums I actually have now.)

Take out :life and add couple (3) Vultures and (2-3) Plague and you'll have pretty good answer for everything your opponent tries to do.

Fire / Re: Crimburnbrimcrem Rush (fast upped AI3 grinder)
« on: November 15, 2010, 08:26:34 am »
Phö is the primary target for Cremation. BE has 2 attack while Phö has 4, so the loss of 2 damage is nullified in 2nd turn when Ash is turned back to Phö: dam. 2+2+4=8 vs. 4+4=8. After that the damage output gets better with save BE & Cremate Phö -strategy, and on top of that BE produces quanta every turn.
