Buff This Card! / Re: Remake Dirk! (not Dagger) - poll added

i think it's worth buffing it. the dirk may be a good noob deck filler but really it may as well not exist at all since everyone sells it almost immediately to get a bit of cash. it definitely needs a bit of healthy buffing :).
Now you're talking about Dagger, that is the un-upped version. This topic is not about that card. *points to subject*

Dirk is the upped version that costs 1524 :electrum. If you have that card, there's a really slim change that you're noob.

Can you see it too?

I still hate the idea that Dirk, an other and therefore theoretically weak weapon, would ever be better or more useable than the rare weapon of that element. If a mono gravity would rather use a Dirk rather than a Titan, even in little situations, then I very much dislike the idea.
Other cards should always be weaker than a card made for the element.
Non rare cards should be slightly weaker than rares.

Unless the new version of dirk is not in competitive distance from the upgraded rare weapons, I am against it.
My goal is not to get Dirk changed from totally useless piece of item into greatest weapon ever made. Just getting enough buff that it would be a borderline decent card that can be used in some specific decks with mediocre results - like Long Sword in Mono :life Rush or Gavel in Cremation-Golem.

Life / Re: Mitosis

You realize this is no different than making sor not effect it, and making it so that the flying weapons thing doesnt work since you can just play it that turn.
It's close, but not exactly the same:
1. Not being able to use SoR with Mitosis would be counterintuitive. Elements community don't really need more situations like that. *points to combo Voodoo Doll + Twin Universe*
2. Card going into hand and playing it - costs same amount of quanta, but that will trigger Neurotoxin.
3. Card going into hand is blocked if you have 8 cards in hand already *points to problem faced when overusing Hourglasses*

So if Flying Weapons or SoR combo proves to be OP, best way to fix those things is making the Mitotic Daughter Creature go into hand instead. If those combos aren't broken, then they don't need to be fixed.

You want it to be buffed because life has a better creature than this? Life has no CC, so to make if balanced, it gets creatures out faster. Water has 2 ways to use CC. All elements but life and light have CC

sorry for going bit off-topic.

maxwell's demon is actually a science term used in when describing the movement of gas particles. or something like that.
a photon is a particle of light.

those names arent that original...
In case you dont know, Retrovirus also does exist.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Retrovirus
??? You both seem to have misunderstood the point I was trying to make: Using those names in fantasy game is weird and unique. Having those non-classic-fantasy names is great - names originating from physics, chemistry, biology, history, etc. Not just some pig latin words that mean nothing.

max damage is 23, dragons do 23 also, so petrifying should do nothing
Catapult|Trebuchet damage curve

+Petrifying can also be used on creatures opponent has.

From wikipedia, which is always right:

Quote
Although errors in mitosis are rare, the process may go wrong, especially during early cellular divisions in the zygote. Mitotic errors can be especially dangerous to the organism because future offspring from this parent cell will carry the same disorder.
Let there be a possibility to create an offspring with a "wrong" attack gene? Antimatter anyone? I can't say that it'll fully balance it, but creating mutants instead didn't seem like a solution either.
Sounds bit too irregular result. Just dying in the process, or losing the ability to reproduce, would be more fitting for my likes. That adapted to use Mutation style mechanic:
50% change to create daughter creature AND remain having Mitosis ability,
40% change to create daughter creature BUT LOSE Mitosis ability (senescence),
10% change creature with Mitosis just dies (apoptosis).

I have no problem on having extremely unoriginal creature names like Ice Dragon, Giant Frog, Werewolf and Pegasus. BUT then again I just REALLY like that some creatures are named Retrovirus, Maxwell's Demon, Photon and Brimstone Eater. Because of that I voted for New/Original names, hoping more weird named cards would be introduced.

change mark to life, and all armagios to mitosis and now we are talking...
That would be in beta decks cause mitosis isn't out yet. Also, it seems too slow and needs a 4 card combo. Titan+animate weapon+mitosis+trebuchet, though you wouldn't really need trebuchet any more with all the damage from titans. not to mention what would happen if the opponent had an eternity/some rewinds.
u r screwed anyway if ur opponent has eternity/rewinds...
i just suggested it since it will be in the game later... i know it's not out yet...
and u do need more damage from trebuchet from all the titans (have u seen all the SoGs in PvP2?)
To be honest I don't see many decks with sogs in Pvp 2 outside of fire stall. Their all just rushes or mono darkness. And if you use mitosis on titans you can get an 8 atk creature a turn assuming you have enough quanta, so I don't see the need for trebuchets.
Flying Weapon + Mitosis is pretty great combo, but there are better weapons than Titan to use for it. So using your words I don't see the need for Titans.

On the other hand, replacing some Titans and Animate Weapons with Mitosis, you'd be able to fill your side with Armagios. Then you'd use those to stall opponent, block 25|30 damage, and catapult fodder 19|22 damage.
