I want everyone to take at least 6 upped cards above their normal. We will win them back and this card is too good not to use.

that is 16 cards we discard but we will win back 6x8= 48 cards so its totally worth it.

If you want to take 9 upgraded cards all the better.

If you don't have enough to buy the eventual upgrades you want to use, then another player will get even more upgrades. I want to dominate this round.

Oh man I totally misunderstood - you were helping someone else. Okay well I think FFQ would be better against air...

Another option this round is to upgrade the queens and then toss in some explosions/fahrenheit.

PS wavedash I think poison would be great against darkness. Bypasses shields and you don't have to worry about  him stealing important permanents. Just gotta make sure you have 1 :death that devourers don't eat. In case of a dragon deck, you bring thorn carapace and an emerald shield and plenty of heals or something.

@ wavedash - that deck I posted was for you/to inspire you

@ edunavas - emerald shield does NOT block poison! It is a weird thing in the game. It blocks firebolts, icebolts, unstable gas but NOT POISON. I just want you to know that. I like your deck though. Even if he brings poison you should be able to kill him first and you have enough healing to stay alive an extra turn or two.

Life/Fire firebolt OTK Im telling you. All you have to do is bring emerald shield for reflection and then use heals to stay at max health. If you get enough Fire before he does, you one turn kill him and its over.

Here is an example from last war.

Rustlers are a waste of space in that deck.

For clarification, this can only be used on 1 player per team, correct?

Also, what is the protocol for indicating which cards you choose to discard? Obviously you must choose to discard them BEFORE the round begins which makes it a special case.

So the battles will be:

edunavas      vs  icecoldbro  :death

Suggestions: Bring the water/purify deck and stall him, OR rainbow with purify in it. Or screw purify, they aren't going to use poison because it is too obvious anyway.

Falcon4415   vs   hrmmm  :light

Hrmmm is going to be very very hard. You have to worry about both stalling and powerful creatures. Life/Fire might be good to destroy sanctuaries and fireshield to kill any creatures and just try to firebolt one turn kill him.

PlayerOa       vs   Zeru  :entropy

sorry man you got the head honcho. Without sanctuary we have to make a tough choice. Zeru might not bring discord for fear of sanctuary - but - he might bring it along with heavy PC to blow up any sanctuaries. Nova is a great counter to discord (but horrible against discord blackhole). I think we should consider using a nova deck here. If not then we should considering using maybe the FFQ hope deck and try to lock him out.

promwarm    vs   EngPhys  :aether

Gravity deck?

wizelsnarf     vs   SpikeSpiegel  :time

Quinted dragons + phase shields?

wavedash     vs   Onizuka  :darkness

Darkness is tough. maybe a poison/nova deck? The poison cards are all cheap and nova is a good counter to pests. Poison will ignore his shields if you can just stall until the poison kills them you could win.

Isei               vs   aznkid66  :water

Darkness deck with steals to get rid of permafrost and also eat up his quanta?

kitty45          vs   Hisar  :air

Dragons (to get through wings) + EE + fog shield?

those are just ideas based on the vault - plenty open to others. If you like an idea for your match, make the deck and post it. We need to test decks, not just talk about them.

Show your ideas

Okay so upon reading the card I understand we have to choose only 1 player to do this with.

If we give this player 18 upped cards that is a freaking huge advantage. We need to take advantage of this.

It will probably be me, wavedash or falcon as we have the most upgraded cards available to use.

But we should really make the deck insanely good and just mow down our opponent. Remember you salvage 6 cards so if we sacrifice 6 cards (for 18 upped cards) we will win them right back. Might be worth sacrifcing 8 cards and giving the person a nearly all upped deck if that makes  difference to win.

I misunderstood.

Apparently we can all get upped cards so we will probably all want to take at least 3, maybe 6 (that is to say discard 7-16 cards and get 3 upgrades per card to distribute.

It's a cultural shift.

Look at what inspires people now days - it isn't poetry for the most part.

Back before TV and electricity people really valued books, speech, poetry, live music et cetera. Not anymore. I think you just have to accept that short sounds bites, funny pictures and the like are more able to reach through to people today. For the tl;dr generation, inspiration comes not from seriousness or length, but quickness and wit. That is inspires them to do things.

You can argue whether it is good or bad, my point is that long inspiring speeches are no longer appreciated by the general public. Only a small portion of the population has any appreciation for this kind of thing anymore. In real life and in Elements.
