I really like the idea!

I had an idea in a similar vein but Kael Hate has major reservations about implementing any kind of invisibility because he believes it will increase the accusations of cheating/hacking....

Which is kind of a shame in my opinion. I feel like if it is revealed at some point what card was played then you can confirm there wasn't any cheating.

If we aren't accepting invisibility as possible/allowable then the next best thing is making the panther untargetable or immortal until it uses its skill.

I like the card as it stands though personally.

Also, can you fix the image of the upped card? The upped gradient is on top of the darkness cost mark and washing it out...

I think raising the cost will be a good way to balance it's current version:

Stalactite
Cost: 7 :earth
Ability: :water :water :water Drip

Elite Stalactite
Cost: 5 :earth
Ability: :water :water :water Drip

Keep drip at 3 water, but make the Stalactite itself cost quite a lot - so you can't get a Stalagmonster or two out early, and grow them obscenely.

The art for the monster looks exactly like a shark that has been edited to me. I do like sharks, though..
I guess it kind of looks like a sharks mouth. I got the idea from looking at deep sea anglers if you wanted to know.



Also I am kind of leaning towards making it single use per turn. If you had 3 stalactites in play you could still be doing a lot of dripping, but not so fast that the opponent doesn't have time to kill your stalagmonster or destroy the stalactites..

Still waiting for more input before I decide to change to a single drip per turn per stalactite....

This card is certainly fun, but the only thing I'm worried about is the '+1/+1' aspect to all Stalagmonsters on the field (including the enemies). Do the creatures gain +1/+1 every time you use Drip? (seeing that it can be used multiple times per turn...) I can start to see a whole bunch of 'denial' :water/ :earth duo decks now, considering how deadly Quicksand, Poseidon, Flooding, and this card can be.
So do people think we should nerf the multiple times per turn? Even if it wasn't multiple times per turn you could still have three stalactites out be getting +3/+3 per turn. It does seem like unlimited would be kind of unfair on the growth aspect of it. You could play a couple stalagmonsters and then drip 5 times for 10 :water and before the next player's turn you have two 6|10 creatures... That is like paying 5  :water for a dragon level creature.

I am leaning towards nerfing the multiple times per turn, but want to hear what people think...

Thanks! I made the art myself and spent a long time on it. I thought it looked like junk but wanted to get the cards up quick because I liked the idea... Glad people actually like it!

So, what would you put in your deck as a target for Stalactite?  Photons? Sparks? Gnome riders? Chrysaora?
You could always just put upgraded stalagmonsters in your deck... Right?

Though I think a gnome rider might be nice to generate a little earth before you Drip it. Photons would make a nice rush deck though.

Would this work in a rainbow deck? It seems like it wouldn't be worth it because of the high :water demand.

What if it delayed all damage you would have inflicted (from other creatures too...) so that it could have an attack of like 50 when it dies?

I tried to move some of the text onto the Stalagmonster card. There really isn't enough space to convey all this information but splitting it across both cards how it is now is the best I could do. Makes enough sense to me. What do you all think?
