Trial Archive / Re: TRIALS - Challenge a Master, Become a Master

i also dont think war should make a difference (maybe only make a difference if someone played the war or not, or was very inactive, etc.), but now there will be a few elements, everyone wants to play for at war, and others might get problems at finding a good team. also in team-member decision,
I think it should make a very small difference only--as it is I think too many people will stick with the element they represented and hardly any outsiders will try for an element that finished strongly in the war. And by the way what's with according the master of the winner of the war points? Doesn't he/she get promoted straight to grandmaster?

Humor / Re: I love dogs, hate cats
« on: July 11, 2010, 12:29:40 pm »
As a person who has had both a cat and a dog, I can confidently say that cats suck.

Dogs are 100 times better pets in almost all areas. Only advantage of cats is that they are easier to take care of because you don't have to do anything with them. Just give them some food so that they will go away.

Dumb cats..
They'll go away? That's smart cos if they actually stayed for more like dogs, you wouldn't end up giving it to them time and time again.

In complete agreement with the rest though.

Card Ideas and Art / Re: Chain Reaction | Chain Reaction
« on: July 11, 2010, 12:23:51 pm »
Isn't this a little difficult to code? If your opponent uses chain reaction on one of his own creatures that you are spamming and creature controls it...it's gonna be pretty ugly. PU|TU-chain reaction-lightning/lobotomizer would be very interesting, just plop in 3 elite phase dragons for damage or something.

Deck Help / Re: need feedback on my new deck

I'd prefer this:

-1 Elite Cockatrice, -1  :life pillar
+1 Giant Frog, +1 Adrenaline

Small difference though, overall should be effective enough.

Yellow card-$$$man caution for trolling

The most pertinent issue I have with this is the card concept--things that are already flying hardly get affected by landslides. I understand that you're trying to better integrate the airborne concept into the game but it's still insufficient justification for me  :(

Otherwise, at 7  :earth, for its effects, it is decently balanced. Maybe it would make more sense if it doesn't deal double damage to airborne creatures, but instead puts them in a time bubble? The cost just about puts quicksand/landslide decks at a feasible but difficult to execute combination. Good luck on refining the idea further, decent work so far  :)

Deck Help / Re: Fire and Aether Deck?
« on: July 11, 2010, 09:16:02 am »
You're not exactly gonna be able to draw your dimensional shields reliably since it's a 42 card deck and each one only lasts you 3 turns. I'd recommend the following changes:

-3 PU, -2 Crimson Dragon, -2  :aether pillar, -3  :fire pillar
+2 deflagration

If you wanted to do a fire stall, you might want to consider using fire bolts/lances instead though, since the damage output translates directly from the  :fire quanta you stockpile instead of having to play creatures for it.

Trial of Aether / Re: Sign Up Here
« on: July 11, 2010, 09:06:56 am »
I'm just gonna cast my lot in and avoid further deliberation
As mrblonde advised me, it's not so much about being the master of the 'best' element

Unionruler (IGN, Forum, Chat)
Score-234210

Whatever the result, may the person who is entrusted with this responsibility strive to keep the colors of  :aether flying high. Best wishes to all players party to this trial  ;)

Humor / Re: Worst combo EVER
« on: July 08, 2010, 03:34:41 pm »
When an antimattered pufferfish continues to deal poison damage, insisting that healing your opponent constitutes a successful attack.

I think elite chargers/titans with sundials is a pretty bad combo by the way. Paying premiums to get momentum and then letting your opponent setup is kinda self-defeating.

Apothecaries remove poison, not so much monks  ::)

I don't think  :light needs another quantum-intensive card that quickly--it already has miracle. Should develop those for other elements first.

General Discussion / Re: How can I become T50?
« on: July 08, 2010, 12:56:00 pm »
I've played 3 months and have a score of 172K and are in the t50. It can be done :)
You're crazy  :o
Nah I got into the all time T50 in less than 3 months   :)

One tip--if you want to get into T50, don't pick a deck that kills your score. Your worst choices would be decks that autoquit some FGs and have practically 0 EM rate, for example Acelink's and Seravy's decks. The EMs really count because you're getting at least double the score. Go for a control deck, you could try my RoL-Hope, or find a well calibrated large time rainbow.

This is okay just don't make the upped version free--unupped 2  :light upped 1 :light might be better. Eh wait actually no--oops just realised that cremations will allow you to play a rustler|leaf drag without any other source of  :life.

General Discussion / Re: interwiew to zanzarino ask away

Did you guys ever consider that WE are his team? Our card ideas, our suggestions, the mods, SG the admin, all of us make things easier for Zanz. We help fix bugs. We help add cards/mechanics. WE as a community make this game great, and with Zanz, our community shall rule flawlessly :)
We don't make things any easier for zanz, unless you're doing the actual debugging, coding and testing. What you said actually suggests quite the opposite, that we discover/create work for him to do.

Our community shall rule flawlessly?! That's one of the most off statements I've seen with regards to Elements  ::)
