Duo-Decks / Quanta Denial
« on: December 15, 2009, 10:10:05 pm »

Agh!
i hadnt noticed this post, and i was posting my version:

A little more balanced, even if really poor on towers. I like eclipse to make devourers hurt...in fact i built this deck only because i like too much devourers and wanted to post "their" deck

That's a LOT of unused Death quantum. Since you really only need a single Tower to play, two to play effectively, and three to play well, why not change the Mark to Light and run a few upgraded Sundials? You could easily replace three Towers for them.
yep! I was thinking the same: only difference is that i was wondering about miracles add...O.o
But miracles are too expensive: considerating that shards, when played, will us even light quanta only sundials are playable.
If you want to keep it as a mono deck just add 2 dragons/plagues (plague will be very effective if your opponent is putting down great creatures to afford your 220 life)

General Observations:
no permanent control, no creature control, no shields....there's something else missing?
This deck will be smashed by a single emph bond, but in all other cases it's fun!
Poison does its work while shards make you get more and more life...who'll die first?

Duo-Decks / earth/gravity deck

Honestly, Scaredgirl's deck with the dragons would be better. Burrow is nice, but it not only cuts your Shrieker's attack in half, but you have to wait a single, VERY vulnerable turn, befor you can burrow. Dragons may cost more, but upgraded, they are 10/11's, which means that not even an Otyugh with a single Heavy Armor could eat it. Other than the Shrieker/Dragon difference, this deck is exactly the same as the Anti-Rainbow deck.
I think it's not so clear: dragons are vulnerable to mutations and reverse time, and they cost more. Shrieks have a vulnerable turn but then they're immortal, and being cheaper you can play them earlier, burrowing when it's the case. I cant say they're better (i played dragons and found situation worst for them than for shrieks, but even the opposite) but i like their immortality.
About this deck and anti rainbow being different version of a same deck, i said it. But I consider it a pulverizers deck rather than an anti rainbow one, wich could be built in many different ways.

Duo-Decks / Earth/time: Seism style

I definitely vote for Eternity plus Enchant/Protect Artifact. Also, it seems a waste of a Time deck not to put in at least a couple of Hourglasses.
You won't get my vote. Mark of time is not enough to pay for Hourglasses let alone Eternity. You need Towers to pay for those which would chance this whole deck.

I would probably drop 2 Quicksand and take 2 Shriekers to get more damage. No 30 card deck needs 6 Quicksand.
Tried to switch 1 quicksand and 1 rewind with 2 shrieks: it works greatly! Nice idea

Making eternity or trident ability cheaper would just be wrong...
trident ability became cheaper in poseidon!

My name whould be 'Annoyance'.

102 card deck

Mark is time
10xProtect artifact
10xDimensional shields
10xEternium Hourglasses
1xPhoton
1xEternity
60xQuantum towers

A little variation on this one:

Invincibility
Mark is aether
10xProtect artifact
1xDissipation field
20xElite immortal
60xQuantum towers
10xEternium Hourglasses
1xEagle eye

Strategy is obvious I guess, but just for the people that don't get it: wait for enough quantum to use protect artifact (takes probably max 3 turns if your not reaaaaaally unlucky), play dissipation field, protect it, play eagle eye, protect it and use the hourglasses to keep spawning more quantum towers (protect them as well) and the eagle eye to prevent the opponent from getting enough offense on the table. Elite immortals are to kill the opponent of once your def is up.
the key of this deck is playing a shield you have in 1 copy for a 102 card deck?! I hope you wanted to say 10xshields. With tower bug this will surely be unbeatable exept for decking out (supposing you create a situation where you can eat 10 creature per turn respawning them, with a bone wall...:S) and this will e extremely rare...

Duo-Decks / earth/gravity deck
« on: December 15, 2009, 10:10:04 pm »

i like this built:

His strenght are untargetable artifacts and creatures. It's a complete deck that can face any situation, only problem is no healing. There are some other version of this deck here around (scaredgirl's antirainbow it's a good one: uses dragons intead of shrieks, i prefer shrieks because they burrow)

About balance between 2 different pillars: try to have a minor element that needs only the mark or just 3-4 pillars, then all others from a 2nd element and deck will work

Found another way, again pure seism style (no permanent control):

This variation could be really more effective if you have to rewind many times a creature, and shields make it far more though

Another reason is the simple thing that a pvp strong player will never come to the top50 because using his time to pvp, not grinding!
This is the reason I'm not in the Top 50 yet...>.<" But then again, I PvP just as much as I Duel. =/ I like Duels. XD
Well, i like duels because they allow leagues, but cant be used for score because easily abused

60

Since the final goal of this game is to play it pvp i think that points taken fighting AI shouldnt be the same kind of those won in pvp.
I propose 2 different scores for each player: pvp and cpu.
This because there's not so much glory in grinding fg or top50, while pvp it's really harder even against not so good decks because of human play. Another reason is the simple thing that a pvp strong player will never come to the top50 because using his time to pvp, not grinding!

Other ideas are welcome, just to change the score sistem we have now
