Then you need fire towers, which makes it slower. Plus thats a long wait for 1 fractal.

Yes, it takes a few turns to get a fractual, but a few cremations get you there quicker.

That just proves my point; it's all about luck, if  the primary factor is how quickly the cremations come.

Aim for the aether towers! Also a well placed bone wall makes them think twice about cremation... they will still probably do it but at least you get a wall to bid yourself more time to dish out damage.
lol, there's no need to use aether towers with this strategy. A mark of aether and cremations do the job! :)

Edit; bones aren't going to stop about 20 phoenixs for long! :P

One of the strategies in elements involves a fire/aether combo. Where the player sends out a minor phoenix, which is unlikley to be killed. They then use cremation followed by fractual to spam a couple of dozen more minor phoenixes, which wipes out almost any opponent. Because of cremation, it's not possible to prevent the player gaining the mana needed, whilst shields won't work due to explosion

It's pretty clear there's no skill whatsoever with this strategy. It is purely dependent on whether the player has a minor phoenix, cremations and a fractual, pretty early on. Chances are, they will.

But this is all luck. A knowledgeable opponent will know exactly how they will play, but there's nothing they can do to stop it. All that knowledgeable opponent can do is hope the phoenix spammer has a poor run of cards. So there's no skill influencing the outcome.

Elements is, generally, a pretty skill based game. But this strategy is purely based on luck, and it doesn't exactly make for interesting battles either. So this is a bad thing in elements.

Something should be done to ban this strategy, and ensure elements most skilful players are the ones who flourish.

Euphoria, seeing as you feel i deserve to be moderated, i don't think your worthy of a reply :P

Well, miniwally was unable to find a solution.

Look like i was right after all, and all those people who insulted me simply don't know what they're talking about.

How would chat help? Will people chat to me with good advice there?  :)

7
Or you could follow the pages and pages of advice we gave you last time you were complaining about this. Mods should lock this again.
I did look. Nothing seems to work, except to use an anti-matter deck myself.

I've never received a nymph either.

This game is so biased against me.

General Discussion / Just lost to the invincible anti-matter deck.

It only took two minutes  :)

Since the deck is unbeatable, i don't get frustrated, since there's nothing i can do.

General Discussion / the element of luck...
« on: June 11, 2010, 08:56:19 am »
Just played a match where, with 11 cards left, i had not drawn a single pillar/tower. My deck has 8, out of 30 cards.

I wonder what the odds of that are? Just goes to show that, no matter how good you are (not that i'm any good) some things remain beyond your control.

Why should anyone care about your luck girlsgeneration?

No-one cares about mine; when i asked for advice yesterday, i was abused and moderated.

Someone specifically picked to play for entropy by the master of entropy not knowing how to pay it...gimme a break seriously I and a lot of other people have offered solutions AND evidence yet you keep blowing it away without even giving it a chance you say you've tested it yet I doubt you have.
Well, no-one's perfect. Perhaps he didn't know how to use that particular strategy. :P

By 'tested it' i mean i've played against it, quite a few times. I know when i face that style i can't play any monsters, knowing they'll immediately be anti-mattered. And if i take the anti-mattered cards out, then i'm left with no firepower. That's all the 'testing' i need   >:(
