Well, firstly, the two versions are the same card

Just as clarification, did you intend for the +2/+0 to be for each point of damage the hydra takes, or each packet of damage?  For example, if Hydra is hit with Firestorm for 3 damage at once, does it get +2/+0 or +6/+0?  Even if it's the second one, I think this is probably underpowered, particularly for a 7 cost.  A hydra also feels to me more like a fire card or perhaps earth or life; hydras aren't usually sea monsters, though of course there's no reason why they couldn't be in a fantasy world!

Well, the idea is that using Water and Earth together would give new deck ideas. It would give the second one. So if you plate armored the unupgraded Hydra it would gain 6|0 more attack. This is the first of my ideas so it is a little rough.

Also, there is a typo on the upgraded card. The stats should say 2|6.

I made it in trainer and it is fun and fast against AI3.

It has trouble against air because of wings.

What works for me always is: Mark of whatever the card i got is, 7 Earth Pendulums, 6 Lava Golem, 6 Photon, 6 Immolations, 2 Deflag, 2 Fire Shield, and 1 Farenheit.

It works well for bronze...

Shard of Confidence:  Use 4 random Quanta to play:  If the opponent has more creatures than you do, your creatures gain N|0, N is the number of the opponents creatures divided by (4 Unupgraded) (3 Upgraded).  Note: Effect does not stack.
