Exactly, and it's not like Vultures aren't substantial enough, either.  A swallow, though...just not feeling it, unladen or not.  It's an obscure enough reference that I had to look it up, and anyone else is just going to be confused about why a bird is doing *that* much damage.

I still have a problem with a bird doing more than 1 or 2 damage...let alone 6.  Are you *that* attached to the name that it couldn't be something a bit more, shall we say, fearsome?

Interesting idea...I must admit though, that when I saw the card's name, the thought that popped into my head was targeting a single creature to fall asleep, that would last until it's targeted by anything else.

I think the only reason it hadn't been suggested before now is that there are already two cards that do this that require Aether, split between creature and weapon, along with the possible effect from Entropy.

Very, very interesting.  I would say that if the caster has an immaterial permanent, just like immaterial creatures, that you wouldn't be able to toss those over...but if the opponent has one, then it's treated just like they're playing a new weapon / shield, meaning theirs would go away and yours would show up on their side.  I'm intrigued by the idea.

Artwise, it's a very bad idea to use copyrighted stuff.  Find something that's royalty free - wikipedia, perhaps...though check each image before using, www.sxc.hu, or just type in royalty free images on google and go from there.  Using anything copyrighted, or anything you're not sure is explicitly available for use, tends to get people edgy.  The last thing we need to do is cause problems for the site itself through improper image using.

For something that can be killed by *anything* targeting it though, I was actually thinking that the casting cost should be lowered.

Edit: Also, question, would AoE type spells kill this off, since it's not targeted specifically?

Fire may not care too much about quanta cost, but costs should be somewhat similar for similar spells through different elements.  Don't forget as well, you may be using it to cure yourself, so I don't think it'd be a good idea to bump the damage up *too* much.  Besides, if it was 7 damage or so, wouldn't that start stepping on Fire Bolt's toes?

I thought about that, but Fire has enough CC as it is, and there are plenty of other ideas percolating to remove poison from creatures.
