Rather than a spell induing another status (development...) I suggest a permanent like "Dragon Heart : the next dragon dying survives with 1HP - destroy this permanent instead"

Furthermore the thematic of manticore is well explored.
I hope Zanz reads this thread.

But I would switch its element to Air, Entropy or Light maybe Other, not Life.

I like the idea of clay soldiers ^^ but I dislike complicated equations >_<
Why not a growth ability (+2/+2) if you have more pillars than opponent? (indeed +2/+2 is the average of +1/+1 and +3/+3)

Ah and -1 cost by the way.

I agree it's powerful (i hope not OP).

The goal is to play healing permanents or spells with more thinking. But fortunately the threat only exists when your opponents has death quanta.

Another double-edge effect would be if Heal, Stone skin and others could target your opponent. Playing Soiled water would become dangerous against spell-healers.
Actually, a soiled Holy Flash would deal 10 damage!
