Team Underworld / Re: Farewell UW

Sorry Long, should have been more specific.
By "game play" I meant the "game" of war and elements on the whole. The game is about much more than being able to play a deck at its max efficiency for a given matchup. A master should really understand all the relationships between elements and how to capitalize on them in a long term PvP scenario. I'm not saying that I don't think you're capable, just that there is work to be done. Frankly, I think the trial system isn't built to select the best war general per se and that many masters don't have as firm a grasp on war when they enter it as they could. I want to see Generals that really know whats up, and I'm not sure you (or any of us really) are there yet.

First of all, sorry about the deck mark. That was probably 75% my bad.
The difference between 3rd and 4th doesn't seem so significant though.
And this way we don't have to play a suicide.

On to the rest now.
Thanks to all for making my war experience what it has been.
I feel like I've grown exponentially as a player, strategist, and deckbuilder as a result.
There are things that I regret, but without the experiences of which I wouldn't have learned as much as I did.

@Long,
If you become a master I would maybe consider being on your team again. Frankly though, you would have to pull up your socks quite a lot first.
In retrospect, I wish I had known you better before we chose a general. I probably wouldn't have supported your push for the position.
Your outbursts and general etiquette made me feel less than stoked at times to be fighting for your flag.

Also, I'm not sure you have the game play skills to really be deserving of the title.
That you are looking to become master for an element with a currently weak/non-existent one supports that IMO.

@All,
Frankly, I think I might disappear for a while and then try to sneak onto UW again next war.
I can't imagine fighting for an element. It would just be way more limiting.
That said, I may also try to get my PvP skills up to snuff (deck selection isn't a strong suit), study one element like crazy, and run for master with the intention of landing high up on that element's war team.

Once again, thanks to all.
Its been a pleasure.

I'm assuming Sevs was happy enough with the OP or he would have changed it...

~4 Days if you spin lava golem...
Income will largly depend on oracle rng.

Curious to see what the play counts are going to be once this leaves Beta.
Right now it seems like the hype is wearing off a bit.

I am also experiencing the bug Djhopper mentioned.

I think banning quantum towers is a bit of a stretch.
I agree with shards, silence and maybe BH.

Also, 35 cards is going to change bronze, silver and gold quite a bit.
I think they will probably be considerably weaker.
Will make for some interesting deckbuilding challenges though so I'm looking forward to it.

I think it would balance fine with EQ and Flying weapon in.
But it should be good this way too.
Is trident considered an extension of EQ or no?

Well poison is a bit less scary because they only get 3 ups.
The deck we have now has 7 cards that deal damage (+PU), and they are fairly solid. (Arsenic could be deflagged but otherwise...)
And with poison their other attack options are limited quite a bit so I think we would have an ok shot with the deck how it is.
I hear your concern though. They could have picked up a chrysae or something with that event card a couple rounds ago to make it into a scarier deck too.

Gravity shield isn't banned....?
Is gargoyle considered a 3HP creature?

Geeze, I try to write a post to lift the mood and then I'm reminded of why I was feeling less than stoked.

Yes, BH is dangerous. Yes, it potentially hurts the diss shield.
They can up them so they only cost three and they can potentially play supernovas to get them out faster.
However, with 12 pillars, we should be able to replace enough quanta for the shield to be useful.
If they play BHs it will likely be a lower damage deck anyway

Sancs lose to blessings because we might see CC, and purify takes care of poison (hopefully).
If we're vs. the mono, our dims are going to be super valuable, and sancs would be useful.

I don't know. Its kindof a crapshoot.
t4 and sevs have the final say on these decisions.

I'm pretty sure they don't have the cards to run 2 grabbows.
They may have the salvages to give a nova/poison/CC deck vs us, which would be scary.
Whether or not they have enough deflags to send some vs. us is questionable.

OP has been updated.

Also, I just want you guys to know that I'm super proud of us for making it this far.
Ya there has been shitloads of drama, but we know what we've done, and that we've done it in a way that for the most part we have reason to feel good about. If you had told me we would be sitting at second late in the in the war when we were just starting out I would have been super stoked.
So I want to be that excited about it.

I think they have to play their grabbow vs. fire.
Because their mono will lose to fires grabbow most likely.
Didn't realize we don't have rage pots.

Fractix with 2 MPs isn't particularly appealing to me.
And discord could cause problems.

What about forgetting about dissipation and going with sancs?
Sancs with dims could be strong vs. a PC less deck.
Meanwhile we poison, grow, and deflag shields.

We don't have much in the way of weapons due to conversions.
We could throw a discord in though.

@Neo,
If we're going to do a fractal deck, we might as well put our spirits in.
There may be a situaation where its the best option to fractal them.
