« on: August 18, 2011, 06:46:27 pm »I was on the beach, not in the ruins...EvaRia 'teleported' us all out of the ruins. Also, that means you can't see the Underground lava lake and the chimera at the same time. (Unless your map is seeing the lake and you're directly seeing the Chimera. )

*snip* and can zoom, pan, etc. *snip*It basically lets me see almost everything that's going on at that one second. Kinda like metagame powers.

OK, then.
I am also an avid Minecraft player, so I assume that I wake up on a beach, too.
"Where am I? Oh, great. Not again. Well, better find stuff with this map thingy I seem to have, unlike all the other times I wake up on random beaches... I don't feel like I should be punching trees this time, though."
After checking the map: "Well... That noodlchimera should be a pest... Better take care of that... with science! Some lava should do the trick!"

WOW. 7 pages before I noticed this topic. I have got to keep up on this stuff.
My character's ability is to create portals.
1: it takes 1 turn to create a pair of portals
2: I need to visualize the locations to create the portal(included in the one turn)
3: The portals must have the same orientation - i.e. portal facing North to North-facing portal
4: The edges of the portals are 2D, thus will split anything that is pushed into the edge of the portal.
5: Things can go through portals both ways
6: Portals are always round, and slowly shrink, but slowly enough so as not to cut anything by their own force
7: The space connected by portals is completely connected, so EVERYTHING, including light, goes through portals.
His item is a 'Marauder's Map' of sorts. It takes one turn to check it, but it shows everything, down to each blade of grass, and can zoom, pan, etc. It also cannot be read by anyone except my character or taken from him, as long as he's alive - when he's dead, it's up for reading and taking, but when he respawns, then the map teleports to him.
Or is that too OP?
