Sorry to MrBlonde that he had to play with mediocre draws, but yay for Higs, guarded by Fate!

Well, I don't really want to stab xn0ixe, but I would like to add to my collection of previous member accounts. tempting.
Wish i could say mediocre......

1st game (desync) - 6 pillars/pends, 0 or 1 pillar by higs. Also had my EA and a Titanium shield in hand...
2nd game - 3 pillar/pend's at start but only pulled 1 more during the next 10 turns or so. Got quanta stuffed during that time.
3rd game - 1 earth pend start..... slow pulls.. only pulled 2 death pends for most of the match and higs smartly stole both of them. I pulled all 6 earth pends, in the first 22 cards and 3 death pends.... Oh the humanity. Had a plague in hand and a bonewall but when you have 0 death quanta...

Anyhow their pestal was well made to counter this deck but i do feel we had a chance with a decent draw. Oh well, at least kev won =)

i was going to make those exact points kev. We should expect a fractix for sure. Makes much more sense for higs to bring it IMO. Which means Earth stall is very viable for me still and it will pummel the wings deck as long as they don't make it 45 cards.

Eternity deck really doesn't worry me too much. With EQ's destroying time quanta should be easy.

Fixed your post.  Getting 1 copy of a different card doesn't really help build a new deck for a mono or a duo ... obviously helps out a rainbow, though.  This should make the war more interesting for the last few rounds!
Sure, it helps UW much more. But getting a free card (even if it is a pendulum/pillar) helps. When :death got the 2 decks, i thought they will have to build a suicide deck this round. Now, the odds are much better for a really viable second deck.

You must have me confused with someone who hasn't led a team for THREE WARS. Kinda insulted actually that you would think that we would purposely take a salvage just so we could suicide since that means ineptitude. And here's a little hint, we have multiple deck choices to choose from (even without the event card) that have all beat aether and other teams already. Anyhow take this post with a grain of salt (sounds harsher then i mean it, i'm just kind of flabbergasted why you would think this way).

one copy of EA is meh BUT it could mean winning or losing too. Also lets beef the Earth stall to 44. What makes this matchup interesting is that we have one game vs ups and one not. So meta wise it seems that the non upped one would not use pestal. So for higs deck it likely would be pestal but i fear fractix as well. I know the rush works better vs fractal but with our beefed up earth deck i am thinking i would be better off with the deck.

We also need to worry about the grabbow but i have a feeling they might use that vs UW or Entropy.

Edit: i do find Avenger amusing though. I think he doesn't realize that all the decks we can make have all beat aether already.

I do agree best of 5 would have been infinitely better.  And yeah desync's really ended u making this card's effect much worse. Event cards do seem to cause a lot of extra drama eh?

Desynchs really screwed this event card up.

The amount of hard work going up in smoke when events like these (RNG-losses in general) unfold has just about killed my motivation for War. Winning is only a bonus, but being denied a reward for hard work over and over ruins any game.
This. Every team gets RNGscrewed at some point in time. If it happens early in war, you can bounce back. If it happens late, you are pretty much F'ed. This event card would have been "acceptable" at best in the first 3 rounds of war.

On a similar note, RNGscrewage + desyncs + months of war = not very fun. One of those variables can at least be modified easily. Like zeru said, instead of changing the rules, change the #s. I think we need to drastically reduce the starting vaults, and consider Round 1 discards starting at at least 18. Just my opinion.
MMmmm... i don't know. I think at this late date the card works better with so few matches left. Could you imagine the uproar when we had 48 matches going? Oh the gnashing of teeth that would have ensued. It also adds a bit more luck and gives the underdogs a better chance (not that i'm saying that's better). I don't think this card is terrible and honestly could have worked either way, just didn't fall on aether's side this round.

Also i think adjusting the discards might be helpful as well. Although i do think 18 may be a bit much for round 1. Perhaps 9-15-24-30.

If UW gets its salvage, in fact we are going to play vs Aether and UW. Hope they do it, and Fire can play vs Aether.
hrmmmm that does present a problem i think. UW has a pretty decent grabbow...


EDIT: actually we won't play them. UW will still only have to play 1 deck. So 2 from us and 3 from UW,Fire, Entropy with Fire still getting the bye.

haha sundials dont like aether cause time does not like those that are immortal along with death WHEN u make time and death angry THEY be coming for you RAWR!!! but anyways nice deck by both things cept the aether deck looks like the kinda threw a bit of everything and then tried to make a stall? wierd >.> death deck what more to ssay awsome poison is awsome.
The deck was designed to win once and only once against a poison-based deck while being very low-risk if it were to lose. It basically was autowin against the SS stall, and the splashed purifies were a surprise in case of poison (50% win rate at best because of the fat deck).
Good concept that made a lot of sense. Unfortunately with only 3 nova's and 2 purifies finding that combo definitely makes it really difficult. With that said i am glad this deck is out of the way and you only lose 9 critical cards.
