General Discussion / Re: What else is there to do now?
« on: May 16, 2011, 04:31:31 pm »
The only thing i do every other day is the oracle and the FG predicted. My wish is for an update with daily quests or similar. Anything in that way would be nice.
That would be really nice. Since i am also at the daily routine with Oracle + FG if i like to, dailies with acceptable rewards and/or T500 are the things i am looking forward to.

The small changes can be pretty devastating. It often happens that I win in the turn before the FG would beat me. If he would have made one better decision the game would be over at that point.

Concerning the AI being as good as real players: That was a exaggeration to show the "worst case" scenario. The little improvements are the ones, which make some FGs harder and harder.

No, I am saying that if the AI gets better priorities concerning PC/CC/PU or would remember the cards you use in the match against him it would be considerable harder.

General Discussion / Continous AI improvement...

... or when is it time to stop?

Before you start reading the bigger text I'd like to add a few points:

1. English is not my main language. So there will be most likely some mistakes in this thread.

2. I am talking about FG (and a little about AI5), because they have an advantage over player, which we are currently compensating by "better" playing and/or our decks. The rest of the AI (especially T50 since it could serve as PVP training) should get the best AI possible.

3. This is not a whine threads because FGs are too hard for me. It is a thread that talks about things that MIGHT happen in the future of the game, which makes some of the things stated speculations.

At the current state of the game every patch brings improvement to the AI, which is for the current AI a nice thing, because it has some "features", which makes them easier than a rational human being with the same cards. That's why some of them have given greater power. But with great power comes great responsibility! The very good FG grinders offer a 50%+ win rate against FGs. Long long time ago there was a/some FG grinder/s which offered a 70% win rate, which I sadly enough never experienced and the win percentage is already decreasing.

50-60% seems pretty fine for the reward and the time consumed in winning a FG match with one of the common grinders. But with every increase in AI knowledge the win rate is lowered (It only takes one out of a hundred wins which turned into a loss because of a change to decrease the win rate by 1%). And therefor the question appears:

When is the wanted winning percentage reached? Or do we want to get to a point in the future where a FG plays like a human with increased power?

Imagine playing some god, who has Miracle with Rol/Hope. The common way to defeat this god now is Fractaling a high attack creature and surprising him. If a FG could "remember" that you played a Fractal, look into his database which is the strongest creature of the Elemets you are using, calculate the amount of Quantum you have concerning playable creatures and would use Miracle preemptively the match would be considerable harder. And that is only one example.

When I play FGs i know some of their target priority for permanents and creatures and I can use that to overcome the disadvantage the god provides for me with his increased power. If some of this would be more dynamic a lot of the gods would be considerable harder for me.

I love challenges, but when the best FG grinders would offer only a ~30% (or even less win rate) it would come to a point where the risk isn't worth the reward. That's why i am asking the question.

FG Proposals / Re: Beat my False God!!!!

Sybil:

Deck was a Fire Rush. Took several trys to get a decent draw but was possible.

General Discussion / Re: How many copies of rare weapons do you keep?
« on: February 08, 2011, 06:31:49 pm »
Since there is a 3000 card limit. Keeping every rare will most likely result in a problem one day.

I keep 6 upped/6 unupped and since I cut down to 6 overall once and had to grind the missing back I would recommend keeping 12 per rare.

Rainbow seems somewhat beatable with an Speeddeck. At least I had pretty acceptable results with them.

With Hermes on the other hand i don't even know where to start in order to get a certain chance of winning. I tried most of the decks in the thread in the False God section, but none of them really seem to work.

Game Suggestions and Feedback / Exchangeable Weapons
« on: October 17, 2010, 01:31:43 pm »
While grinding T50 for some specific weapons i got a lot of different weapons, which i can only use for money. The problem with that fact is that i have no other possibilty than t50/ai3 where it is very unlikely to get the specific kind of (unupgraded) weapon i want.

I think it would be nice to make weapons exchangeable. Maybe one + a specific amount of electrum (~500+) for another or two for another would be a decent idea.
This would also make it possible for newer players to get the one they want after picking the wrong and make it easier for advanced players to get specific weapons for their collection.

General Discussion / Re: I'm awesome! I have 12 of every card!

The opening post states 12, but 15 would also mean 108 upgraded cards less than the version with 24.

Since the original awesome status goes with 12 Pillars/Towers: What would you call people, who go for "trainer-status" (24(!) Pillars/Tower, 6 unupped/upped)?

I voted for yes, but in my opinion it should still require luck to get one.

Maybe giving spins from FGs a chance of ~5/10% or something like that to get a "Nymph Token" which matches the mark of the FG you won it from. The token would have require a high amount of money to upgrade it (25-...k electrum) to the unupgraded nymph.

To make it even harder this could only be only done for specific gods or "harder versions" with ~250 HP or similar stronger features which would appear randomly in the FG matchups.

Your deck is far from a serious counter, but it is possible to beat FGs with rush decks. But the percentage of doing that is so low that you won't make any serious profit by trying it.

I once beat Divine Glory with a Speed Rainbow thanks to a Discord, which prevented a Miracle and he kicks my ass most of the time when i face him with my normal grinder.
