poll is bad
because anyone can just click on a button anonymously

what we should do is a mock signup sheet

put down the 12 elements and ask whoever are down for any particular element i.e. :-

Forumkobisjeruk
IGNkobisjeruk
Chatkobisjeruk
Element #1 :darkness DARKNESS
Element #2 :aether AETHER
Element #3 :life LIFE
Team  :aether
    kobisjeruk (reserve)TheonlyrealBeef (reserve)thenewguy (reserve)
Team  :air
    Team   :darkness
      kobisjerukTheonlyrealBeef
    Team   :death
      thenewguyDragoon (reserve)$$$man (reserve)
    Team   :earth
      $$$manDragoon (reserve)
    Team   :entropy
      $$$man (reserve)
    Team   :fire

      Team   :life
        kobisjeruk (reserve)
      Team   :light
        Team   :time
          thenewguy (reserve)
        Team   :water
with preference (e.g. element #1, element #2, element #3 - #2 and #3 means they will be reserved for that element in case that particular element does not have enough team members or something)
and see how many we can actually get to commit...with names
much better than a poll imo

need to include score for forfeit (0-0) in the table
or else we'll be seeing similar issue as it happened in 12 lives event

          so its a 3-man team?
24 players is just a tag team, hardly a team at all

While I have been known to say stupid things (lets face it, with a forum name this bad) - I didn't want to be though of as trolling. (And I feel that the view I expressed before was more likely to be held by someone with 600 posts than a troll with less than 20, although - hopefully - much more politely worded)
Or it could be to give the council an extra something to think about regarding the responses.
The people who deny the statement and give the actual reasons are already showing the maturity needed for a position like this IMO. Good work jippy99 and TimerClock14, yours were the best responses to my little bait (There were other good ones to, but it feels mean to completely exclude a couple people). While I have no power to vote for you, I hope you do well.
intelligently put or not, you did admit to trolling, did you not?

and if we go by post count comparison, 1500+ post have much more significance than 600+ post...but thats not how it work now, does it? (i.e. dont compare post count)

12 Lives / Re: Feedback and Suggestions
          « on: December 24, 2010, 06:54:29 am »
Rules need some changing (this is just my personal opinion and by no mean PvPO-stamped official/approved) :-

          1) Win by 'sweep' 3-0 and only 3-0 will give you a bonus +1 life, anything else i.e. 2-0, 1-0 or 0-0 (forfeit) wont.

          2) Bonus +1 life from sweep are to be used immediately after the match in which you won them, you need to specify which Mark you reclaim back in the battle result thread. The only exception (meaning the only time you can store your +1ups) is when you still have 12 Lives intact. You are required to use up your bonus lives as soon as you lose a mark.

The reasoning behind this is that Swiss tournament is based on performance and challonge does not differentiate between 3-0 and 3-1 (or 3-2) win but bonus lives gained from clean sweep (3-0) make a difference. Significant or otherwise it is still a difference and needs to be treated as such.
This is just my suggested solution. Anyone who think they have a better solution should provide it here so we can compare.

12 Lives / Re: 12 Lives Battle Thread (Hosted by RavingRabbid)
          « on: December 24, 2010, 06:35:39 am »
the problem is that this event was riddled with confusion and chaos from the get go
wasnt anyone's fault because its the first time this event is hosted so only thing we can do is learn from it and make sure any future '12 lives' will be better for everyone involved
please put down any suggestion and feedback in the appropriate thread

a minor tweak to ensure you get mind flayer early enough to count

          Code: [Select]
          5f3 5f3 5if 5if 5if 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6rn 6rn 6rn 6rn 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u7 6u7 749 749 77i 7q5 7q5 7t9 7t9 80h 80h 80h

          « on: December 21, 2010, 06:39:32 pm »
like i said, latest timer is a nudge to those who have yet to finish their long overdue matches
for others, that means they can start their matches right away (if they know who they're dueling) like what some already did up to this point
but there wont be any coinflip for others when the timer runs out (because they're way ahead) so they have nothing to worry about

Everything updated up to this point.

Seeing deadline for double elimination can be a bit confusing, I am going to stop using it but I will personally nudge those in the lower rounds via PMs (particularly loser's bracket) and if they cant schedule or determine a winner properly, it will result in a coinflip.

Below are required to schedule a match as soon as possible (3 days) :-

personally i am looking forward to mrpaper's deck the most after sifting through all decklist
never expect to see something like that in this event and glad to see it manage to beat some more popular approach
